So let’s start shall we? Three pages in from the back cover is where you put your wedding date. The me to do this is the day you book your venues and whilst you’re at it, write your venue contacts on that page and on the one following this. Then work back through the book wri ng in the week dates, then the months un l you get back to here. If you don’t need all the months, use those pages for keeping a tally of your expenses, if you need more, simply fold an A4 sheet and tuck it in a%er these two. And finally. Put your own name and phone number below here followed by your email address, neatly, you’ll soon get fed up repea ng it to suppliers, you can just show them this page and they’ll photograph it..

Looking at wedding venues, both for the ceremony and the recep on. Consider ceremony music, wedding breakfast music and the PA for the speeches, most in-house DJ’s cannot oer this service.

ONE YEAR AND ELEVEN MONTHS TO GO Month

year

It can take up to 200 hours to ice the most elaborate wedding cakes and even a simple one will be a full days work, book your cakes early , the diaries soon ďŹ ll up.

ONE YEAR AND TEN MONTHS TO GO Month

Wedding entertainment takes many forms, but o%en neglected is the diďŹƒcult hour or two between the Wedding Breakfast and the evening recep on. Build in a bit of fun and keep guests entertained to make a truly memorable event.

year

For a modern twist of your wedding day photography, consider a new dimension and professional drone pilot photographer that will skilfully capture incredible group shots, your venue and fun mes from the secret spy in the sky

ONE YEAR AND SEVEN MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Slick presenta ons, perfect ming for ceremony music, well worded introduc ons to the ďŹ rst dance don’t just happen. A skilled entertainer will be worth his or her weight in wedding cake when mings slip a few minutes or when plans change at the last minute.

ONE YEAR AND FIVE MONTHS TO GO Month

We’re very lucky here in the UK, we can have roses in winter and Snowdrops in Autumn if we want them, but they always look best in season. Chat to your florist early to give you an idea of which colours will compliment natures hues for your wedding day.

ONE YEAR AND FOUR MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Have you thought about taking me out for a nice “lifestyle” photo shoot somewhere pre y. The output will make a great image for the wedding invita ons or something fun like a Christmas Card.

ONE YEAR AND THREE MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Remember… A wedding caker is not just for weddings, Cakes make great Mothers Day and Christmas presents too!

ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Weddings o%en include the couple’s children and yet so o%en li le thought is given to bringing out the best in them for the wedding photographs. Always allow a li le more me for the small ones and if needs must book a studio session for a family shoot just a%er the wedding.

ONE YEAR AND ONE MONTH TO GO Month

year

Venue Centrepieces are o%en overlooked un l the last minute and then it can be too late. A large visible entrance statement or a bold addi on in the room can create a real talking point and oer great photographic opportuni es.

TWELVE MONTHS TO GO Month

year

One year to go! This is a great me to get a nice photo for the “save the Date cards” Most photographers will be keen to get the camera out and offer you a digital file for this purpose.

ELEVEN MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Now is the me to start looking at transporta on to the wedding and to the recep on. Reliable wedding cars in your personal style get snapped up early. Classics or modern, arrive in style and in comfort with a stress free professional service.

TEN MONTHS TO GO Month

year

All wedding photographer have their own style, gone are the days of strict set group lists . Book a photographer you can work with and who’s output you really like, always assume you may want a large canvas or an album so book someone with long term storage ability.

NINE MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Leaving wedding rings too late is a common mistake, like the dress a wedding band has to be tailored for your finger, it has be comfortable without being loose and adjustable in a way that mail order companies just can’t do. Always allow me for 3 fiJngs and adjustments.

EIGHT MONTHS TO GO Month

year

It can take up to 200 hours to ice the most elaborate wedding cakes and even a simple one will be a full days work, book your cakes early , the diaries soon ďŹ ll up.

SEVEN MONTHS TO GO Month

year

With just 30 weeks to the big day, now is the me to really start thinking about those ny details or grand designs that will make the venue really pop and shout your style.

SIX MONTHS TO GO Month

year

At 6 months to go now is the perfect me to start shopping for the “nice to have items, pop out to a wedding fayre and meet real people, ask your current suppliers for recommendaons and remember, late availability is always worth a small discount, so ask!

FIVE MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Looking for fun ideas for the party now, Photobooths are a great laugh and will give you a photographic record of the evening.

FOUR MONTHS TO GO Li le addi onal fun things for later in the evening make a big dierence to the party, not everyone wants to dance all night. Conversa on pieces really make it memorable.

THREE MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Every venue has a dancefloor, o%en one they have used for years, it’s usually scuffed and stained, o%en damaged and some mes really dirty. Your first dance needs to memorable and upli%ing, always ensure a floor is clean, safe and polished for the wedding.

TWO MONTHS TO GO Month

year

Arriving in style to the Church is important, but not as important as leaving in style because that’s when everyone sees you. Wedding transport says a lot about your style, always book a professional, always ensure they are insured and always plan for the ho est weather.

ONE MONTH TO GO Month

year

When space and style are important, occasionally thinking “outside the box” works wonders. Never write off a DJ for minimalist equipment, never write off a photo booth without a solid booth, it’s skill and experience that counts.

TWO WEEKS TO GO Week Commencing __________________ With 2 weeks to go, this is the busy phone week to firm up all your suppliers! Don’t forget to contact the photographer, take another look at the shoot list and firm up what me you need them for the various parts of the day.

ONE WEEK TO GO Week Commencing __________________ One week to go, everything is so real now, The dress, the ceremony, the hanging around for the photographs, the at hour between the wedding breakfast and the recep on. Consider cool drinks and canapes, maybe vintage style teas outside the venue, A great icebreaker.
