ENGAGEMENT: 8 Months WEDDING MONTH: September STARTING GUEST COUNT: 75 ENDING GUEST COUNT: 130 FIRST LOOK: No FIRST DANCE SONG: “Give It All We Got Tonight” – George Strait HONEYMOON DESTINATION: Aruba FAVORITE PART OF THE PLANNING PROCESS: Choosing and designing different eclectic and vintage pieces with my mom and friends! PROPOSAL: He set my alarm for 45 minutes early on my birthday morning. He woke me up, handed me the cutest display of dried flowers painted gold, a coffee cup that said Mrs. and a candy dish with my ring in it! CHOOSING A VENUE: As a little girl I dreamed about my wedding on our family farm. I wanted a place where our families could come together for several days and stay on the property. We even had our rehearsal dinner there because it was all so convenient. IMPORTANT ELEMENTS: Seeing all of my ideas transpire on the farm, just as I had imagined them as a young girl was very important. This included the ceremony being water-side. We had cocktails and appetizers around the pool, games on the front lawn and a 100-year-old barn as our backdrop. The vintage furniture and décor pieces set the mood for the elegant, rustic look I had always envisioned.
