ENGAGEMENT: 1 Year WEDDING MONTH: November STARTING GUEST COUNT: 175 ENDING GUEST COUNT: 144 FIRST LOOK: Yes FAVORITE PART OF THE PLANNING PROCESS: The planning process for me was a bit different. I had an idea and a vision of what Skip and I were looking for. Being venue owners, we were singularly focused on our couple’s weddings and didn’t devote much time to our own wedding until our last couple was married. This left us about 4 weeks to tie up most of our planning. Hiring the most phenomenal vendors is what made the planning process so incredible for us. HONEYMOON: We spent 2 weeks popping into local restaurants, cafes and attractions in our own backyard of Eastern Kentucky. PROPOSAL: Skip took me hiking on one of our favorite trails in the Red River Gorge one sunny January day. We hiked to a lookout and he sat down on a log. He patiently waited until I was finished snacking before getting down on one knee and proposing. CHOOSING A VENUE: We built our venue with the purpose of getting married there, so the choice was pretty easy for us!
