ENGAGEMENT: 13 Months WEDDING MONTH: June STARTING & ENDING BUDGET: $18,000 STARTING GUEST COUNT: 217 ENDING GUEST COUNT: 119 DRESS SHOPS: 2 FIRST LOOK: Yes FIRST DANCE SONG: “Tenerife Sea” – Ed Sheeran FAVORITE PART OF THE PLANNING PROCESS: I loved walking into my venue before the ceremony and seeing all of my details come together perfectly! CHOOSING A VENUE: We love being outside and wanted a venue with an outdoor ceremony & reception option, but with an indoor backup plan for rain. IMPORTANT ELEMENTS: Minimizing stress for ourselves, our family and our wedding party was important to us. We also wanted our out-of-town guests to enjoy their first taste of Kentucky, so we included special touches like Crank & Boom and homemade bourbon balls. Our first look and bridal party photos were taken at Keeneland where we were able to include our dogs in our pre-wedding festivities! ADVICE: Find vendors that you trust! I asked my hair & makeup artist to change things up the morning of the wedding and she made me feel absolutely beautiful. My florist took a rough concept in my head and put together bouquets and a hair piece that were better than I ever imagined. Our photographer made both of us feel comfortable throughout the planning experience, providing advice as we considered our day-of schedule and guiding us through the wedding day. By finding vendors you trust, you take so much stress off of yourself and your family!
