The concept of the logo links the Club's original location in Butterfield with its current location in Newtown. The course in Butterfield was partly bounded by the Dodder and Owendoher rivers. These rivers met at the back of the ninth tee - the local "meeting of the waters". The Owendoher river also runs through the new land in Newtown where the additional holes are being developed. History records that in the nineteenth century there were many woollen and other mills dotted along the rivers. There is still a derelict mill on the land at Newtown.
