The Division Scholarships at Seton Hill University are awarded to incoming freshmen students who show promise in their chosen field of study. Awards are renewable for a total of eight semeters as long as the student majors in the Division and maintains a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 and makes satisfactory academic progress. The award in art can apply to either of Seton Hill University’s undergraduate programs in visual arts — the B.A. or B.F.A.



To be eligible you must submit an application for admission to Seton Hill University and meet the requirements for admission, plus supply a portfolio* of recent work for jurying by the faculty of the Art Program at Seton Hill University.

If you wish to submit a digital portfolio for the scholarship, please deliver your work by Friday, February 15, 2013 to Brian Ferrell at Box 376F.

The awarding of the scholarship will be based on the quality of work, as well as the presentation** of the portfolio. Other financial aid programs at Seton Hill University are available to those students who demonstrate need or who would like to be recognized for academic merit. In order to be considered for the art scholarship, submit a CD or USB drive containing JPG or PNG images of original work (minimum 150 dpi). Submit CD or USB drive to Brian Ferrell at Box 376F, Seton Hill University, Seton Hill Drive, Greensburg, PA 15601 by Friday, February 15, 2013.

PORTFOLIO REVIEW All art students are required to have a portfolio*** review before acceptance into the art program. Students may request a portfolio review, after acceptance to the university, by contacting Brian Ferrell at or by filling out the portfolio request form online at: During the visit, a personal interview will be scheduled with a member of the Art Faculty. You will be able to discuss the programs available at Seton Hill University, and you can personally deliver your portfolio.
