PROGRAMS Meet our instructor... Juliee Hanlon, is a long-time artist who is known for her funny stories, witty comebacks, and casual yet energetic teaching style for all ages. Her compliments are heartfelt and her excitement infectious. Under the moniker ‘Smeared Paint’ she has been selling commissions for over 35 years as well as teaching individuals privately for 30. Juliee has painted murals all over the west coast and sold her works globally. Her daughter however brought her the desire to focus more on teaching. Juliee received her graduate degrees in Art History and Fine Arts. Operating her Smeared Paint art business is Juliees main focus while she continues working part time as a special needs paraprofessional for Oakley Unified Elementary School District where she began with them 15 years ago at Gehringer Elementary teaching art in the classrooms. Her main interest remains to share the love of artistic creation with those seeking something new and fun, or to improve their creative skills. Known also for her patience and encouragement new artists of all ages under her tutelage leave her class feeling as they have laughed a lot, learned something new, and have their own masterpiece. Juliee created her traveling “Kids and Canvas by Smeared Paint” business prior the popularity of wine paint nights began and it was easy for her to welcome adults into the mix. Her classes are fun for all ages and while her adult only nights can be-well- 21 and over, when there are youth present, she makes it as she calls “Disney humor Safe” “Adults both ladies and gentlemen, can take their mind to where ever it leads.” She says that with a wink and smile.

A few words to describe Juliee: ~ Positive ~Real ~ Energetic ~Organized ~ Respected
