EDUCATION Education and Children’s policy is what brought Layla into national politics. As a teacher who also holds an M.A. in Comparative Education she will fight effectively on issues such as the lack of school places in the Oxford West & Abingdon area.

SCIENCE Layla read Physics at Imperial College and teaches science. As an MP she would become one of the few MPs with a science background, and she will apply her background to ensure policy is shaped on evidence. Furthermore she will also stand up for the high tech businesses that fuel jobs in the area.

INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION Having lived in a number of countries including Jordan, Jamaica and Ethiopia, Layla knows the importance of standing up for civil liberties and social justice at home and abroad. She advocates moderate and pragmatic approaches to international conflict.

When Layla has stood as a candidate she out-performed the regional trend in similar seats. It’s going to take experience, energy and dedication to achieve the win we deserve.

She has honed her skills in building teams, recruiting new members and winning votes in Tory areas.
