FOLIO OF WORK
BRENDAN M WALKER
My ambition is to transcend modern constructs and immerse myself in the investigation of newly reformed visual art climates that all can enjoy. Driven by an obsession of curiosity, the thoughts of modern constructs linger in my mind as fragmentary pieces of possible outcomes. The aim is to continue pushing and evolving my ideas, in an effort to achieve the most idyllic and beautiful results. I believe I offer an eclectic point of view and I hope to be a part of your visual art program so I can share my thoughts and further develop my talents to be a more mature and successful Artist in the years to come.
UNDERGRADUATE ARCHITECTURE WORK

BALTEK AIREX PXC BOARD
Made to fulfill a shirt-chair brief, this project received high praise from the likes of Space Furniture Australia. It had a final mass of 2.2kg and could support up to 80kgs.
This project came about as an attempt to exploit the fascinating art of bee keeping and its possible integration in an urban environment. It serves as a hotel where one can rest among the sanctum of bees and flora gaining nourishment through bee keeping.
UQ ORAL HEALTH BUILDING
The following images illustrate a case study analysis of a medical building designed by COX Architects.
This project was stimulated by a current lack of culture along the Gold Coast beach front at Surfers Paradise. It’s main function as a performance space is designed to facilitate social activity and to develop a language for an art walk along the coast line.
To accompany the ‘Wrap’ the digitaly fabricated wall was a group experiement toward resolving complex interactive building enclosures. The wall also featured as a back drop for the Gold Coast Fashionably Conscious fashion show.

DEATH AND RITUAL
As part of a death and ritual project I made these water colour paintings to express the forest mood of my concept. .
This is a small water colour painting that was made during a studio drawing exercise.
These drawings come from a visual diary where quick sketches were made during a studio exercise around the Bond University Campus.
This is a very large painting (2300 x 2300) made during high art class. It is meant to reflect the proliferation of things that are partially human constructs but also exist in nature. Medium: wax medium and charcoal
Painted as a Depiction of American street life during high school art class. Medium: Bitumen and wax medium
This canvas was displayed at the Gold Coast Art Gallery as part of the Energies exhibition in 2010. The artwork is about the misrepresentation of things in nature. Medium: Acrylic on Canvas.
