Yoga for Back Pain (Ages 16 & Up) $100 Hatha yoga practice is a combination of movement, stretching, and mindful breathing. Those who practice yoga are less prone to accidents and injury due to increased body awareness, joint mobility, and balance. By gently stretching we increase blood supply to our muscles and organs, flush out metabolic waste, and stimulate the endocrine system. In this 4-week workshop, we will use yoga to treat injury and dysfunction of the muscles of the back and the spine. Through the small class size, we will gain individualized instruction and learn yoga asanas (poses) to treat back pain. Yoga links back pain to posture, imbalance in muscle tonicity, as well as to emotions, stress, and lack of body awareness, all issues that will be addressed in this workshop. 4088
