Heard on the Streets:

Baby Boomers have given up on Leadership. If you only work or farm one market or submarket, life is tough as nails. Want’s really going on with Public Schools? Is Football the new Boxing? I need to be paid to volunteer for rich political candidates. The Green Movement is just like the DotCom movement; people getting money without solutions or project history.

Yes, summer is here and the positive energy has our painting and maintenance division active. With so many vacant and blighted properties everywhere. We have somehow found a niche repainting old homes and properties. I was unsure if I wanted to continue our repainting services we obtained from our merger with Handy Andy Painting. That was a fun and profitable service we offered, however the bidding

process on larger projects is boring at best, so we made a choice to focus on redevelopment and our award winning program “Everybody Works”, then the economy went south of Mexico. Our client base was hurting and needed basic services at affordable pricing. The marketplace and small business have chosen us to be a reliable solution to vacant properties. We sought out local artist and the ten500 Art Collaboration to

provide Urban Art on the boards covering the windows and doors. Then we took it further and hired day labors from those communities and crime surrounding those properties decreased by 30%. We know the future is here and we have survived the great recession. Now get at us or maybe you enjoy throwing paper away. Andre Jamal Walker

Capital dominates the marketplace Capital is king, well maybe not “the king”, but it rules the land and marketplace and the problems we face are

complex, yet very simple. 90% percent of the world’s wealth is controlled by 10% of the leadership. Most understand this

model will not last, however it’s about greed, not equal opportunity. The 80 –20 rule has changed and it’s crazy.

VALUES GO NORTH OF THE GUTTER

More from the streets: If the city of Columbus, Ohio was like The Ohio State, it would be Atlanta or Austin, TX Will suits ever come back?

Everyone is focused on all things related to losing homes from short sales to quick deeds. Yet it is the valuation of properties that have insiders shaking in their boots. Nothing pencils unless it has a national tenant or the U.S. Government committed to the project. Metro markets with great submarkets continue

to draw foreign investment, however that has not given Americans any confidence to purchase at market rate. The action is on the lower end, surprisingly there are some great values under 100k. The Southeast and Southwest regions continue to gain young college educated youth looking for a fresh start at

affordable pricing. Selling anything right now is tough, however locations with high density and upscale retail have held their valuation better than those without. We think it’s going to take a few more years for things to return back to normal. The next question- “what is the new normal”?

Kids hate the Midwest. Is Houston the new ATL? How many restaurants are enough? The U.S. Revolution against everything Corporate and Government is almost near. Either you will be rich or poor in America. Owning a car is so 1970

DEMO/BULLDOSE OR REHAB? The age old question and commercial prop“demo or rehab”? Has erties. Some buildfound new life in the ings that have conredevelopment of ur- siderable value have ban communities; been torn down withfamily flight in low out consultation or density markets has conversation. In secleft behind a slew of ondary markets this single family homes strategy has come

under scrutiny and has killed property values. Our concern is the lack of demand will create urban deserts and hot spots for dumping of toxic waste. Bring back homes for a buck!

...WE HAD TWELVE INTERNS LAST SUMMER, WITH FUNDING FOR ONE, WE HAD A TOUGH TIME FINDING PRO-BONO WORK SOME WEEKS. The phones calls were cold and somehow I thought that was great, finally the industry has heard about Flossy Commercial Development, I had no idea or capital for marketing yet we had a HP Laptop and printer and away we marched forward with a vision to change inner city redevelopment using American kids and underserved Adults. Little did we know we were part of the green movement. Deadlines and bills unpaid, yet we marched on with only our vision, fast forward five years later and were still here and finally barking on the door of profitability. Thank you JESUS! I never gave up and I can say honestly I’ve matured into a good CEO, with goals of creating a fun eco-friendly business that wants to help limit our footprint and save a few humans . Work truck or Cargo van? FCD is in need of a work vehicle and the age old question “truck or van-new or used” has come up almost daily. We love the truck and it abil-

ity to do so many things, yet we want the security of the van. We hate the tops that are available for trucks, they seem to limit every-

thing. We prefer vans, but finding one in decent shape is hard, without spending big. Trucks are everywhere and more affordable; get the truck!

Flossy Commercial and Brazille Design team up to produce new skateboard/BMX complex.

FCD NEEDS A TRUCK OR CARGO VAN, IF YOU HAVE AN OLD TRUCK THAT YOUR NOT USING PLEASE CALL US ASAP. THE YOUTH WILL LOVE YOU FOREVER; IF YOU KNOW US YOU KNOW IT’S NEEDED:)
