brap’s aim has always been to tackle the root causes of inequality and unfairness in our society. To help us do this we’ve recently identified five specific challenges relating to fundamental issues in current equalities thinking and practice.
Like any theory, this theory of change can seem opaque at first glance, but, like any good theory, it is a useful tool for analysing and improving the assumptions underpinning our own thinking and practice.
Movement doesn’t always mean improvement, so it’s important we’re clear about how what we do makes a positive difference to people, communities, and the organisations that serve them. Hopefully, this booklet will not only tell you what impact we’ve had, but how we think that impact will create a fairer society.
