Advisory Board A Recreation Advisory Board has been appointed by the Board of Commissioners to act as a guide for CRPA in planning and implementation of public recreational activities and programs as well as offering advice on a system of parks and facilities that will accommodate the needs of the public. Board members’ terms run concurrent with appointing Board of Commissioners. Photograph/Video Policy On occasion, CRPA may photograph or videotape registrants, participants, and spectators in Agency programs, special events, or facilities. SAFETY CLASSES ARC Lifeguard Class‐ Blended Learning Ages: 15 years or older Min/Max: 6/12 Cost: $200
This class will provide you with an American Red Cross Lifeguard/First Aid/CPR for Professional Rescuer, Nationally recognized Certification. You must be 15 years of age by the last day of class and be able to complete the following skills on the first day to be able to continue the class: swim 300 yds. Continuously, tread water for two minutes legs only, and retrieve 10lb. brick from 7 ft of water. Students must attend every day of class, and be on time to class, and pass all exams to become certified.
For this class you will need to come prepared to swim every day, and be on the floor for training. Please bring a packed lunch or you may purchase food at our concessions stand.

Compete with other lap swimmers to see who can complete the most laps in the month of November. A log will be kept at the lifeguard table on the pool deck. There is no cost for participating, but if you swim the most, you will win an Adult Annual pass to the Aquatic Center.

This will be a wonderful week off from school where your child can have fun with friends. The week will be spent traveling to different locations to experience excitement, laughter and camaraderie. SPLISH SPLASH BREAK CAMPS – FALL BREAK, VOTING DAY, & THANKSGIVING BREAK Splish Splash Camp is a fun water based camp with other off site trips to maximize your child’s fun over break! Trips typically include bowling, trampoline parks, or skating. Price includes a t‐shirt. All children must be able to pass a 25 yard swim test without stopping, without assistance, and without flotation devices. Children should be level 3 ARC or higher in swim lessons. MONSTER DASH GLOW RUN 5K AND LITTLE MONSTER 1 MILER Cherokee Recreation and Parks Agency will be hosting its 1st annual Monster Dash Glow Run 5K and 1 Miler. When registering, you will receive a glow in the dark long sleeve t‐shirt and glow in the dark accessories. Please come dressed in your most outrageous costume! We will be giving out awards in a variety of categories for the best costumes!!! We will not be doing age group awards for times at this race! This is just for fun!
