• We mandate no plastic packaging on our freight boxes

A product is so very much more than the thing. We want to consider our planet in material selection, production choices, how we get our products to you, and what happens at the end of their life.

Challenge: In 2022 we have prioritized developing a new line of like-no-other products made from textile scraps

• Product 2nds are carefully redirected to end consumers, donated, provided to arts centres, given as pet toys etc

• We refuse to use toxic azo dyes

• We use only naturally tanned & non-toxic leather

• We prioritize textiles that are raw/ undyed/local/pesticide free

Fair trade from Day 1

We want to create social and economic change through products, but we do not believe in charitable purchasing. People should want our products, first, because they are beautiful, unique, smart. But our designs should be as progressive in their potential to positively impact lives, as they are in their looks.

We work with artisan groups who are members of the World Fair Trade Organization. As members of the Fair Trade Federation we are committed to the principles outlined here.

Mulesling is a painful surgical method used by some sheep farmers - removing loose skin away from a lamb’s breech in order to prevent infections caused by insects. While more expensive, there are alternatives. Throughout all of our products, we ONLY use New Zealand wool that is certified as mulesling-free.
