A look at the week
With a snow day and early release this week, we are still working on finishing up Unit 4 and decimals in Math. We are doing okay with decimals; I am looking forward to having another “quiz” before we take the test, so I can reteach what is necessary. (But, being the phenomenal
teacher that I am, they probably know it all and everyone will ace it!!) (I am trying to put a wink sign in here, but it’s not working very well!! So WINK!!)
We read a story entitled, How to Babysit an Orangutan. The kids really liked the story as real-life pictures were used throughout the story of orangutans at an orphanage in Borneo. We will finish up our rendition of “The 12 Days of Christmas” digital stories next week as well. I will put a link up on my blogspot, so you can watch it!! They are going to be great! We helped our kindergarten buddies make their ornaments for us this morning. They had a wonderful time in our classroom and getting to sit in “big kid” desks!!
Notes and Upcoming Events The Christmas Program is scheduled for Tuesday, December 15th at 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 18th will be the last day to bring in donations for the Iowa County Humane Society. Bleach, cat litter, and laundry detergent were high on their list of needs. Our last day of school before winter break will be Tuesday, December 22nd.
