Streetlight Outages – Brambleton's streetlights play a greater role in the safety and security throughout the community. Residents should report any streetlight outages to the appropriate electric utility company. NOVEC is responsible for all streetlights south of Ryan Road (REPORT). VA Dominion Electric (1-866-366-4357) is responsible for the streetlights in the Residences and areas north of Ryan Road, while Summerfield (703-327-4818) is responsible for the streetlights located on their private streets. Reports of streetlight outages to the utility company must include the pole number and either the closest intersection or address to the pole. Thank you in advance for reporting the streetlight outages in your neighborhood. Playing by the Rules – In consideration of the shorter days, please make sure that the carriage light at the front of your home is in working order. In Brambleton, residents are responsible for the daily operation and ongoing upkeep of these lights. If you are experiencing trouble after attempting to replace the bulbs, some suggestions to consider are:   

Check the breaker or GFI switch associated with the fixture. It could be that the breaker or GFI switch may need to be reset. The sensor may need to be replaced. Sensors typically have a life span of a few years. Most national home improvement stores have them in stock or an electrician can perform the replacement. If these steps do not restore the light to operation, an electrician may be necessary to further troubleshoot the problem.

Association staff will be conducting inspections during the evening hours this fall and will request that owners take action to restore their lights to operation.
