RMG Daily Show Prep September 21, 2009 Country Could Taylor Swift write a song about Kanye West's VMA ambush? Taylor says she might -- but not until she's recovered ed from the incident. "Well, I think that in order to write a song about something, I have to have clarity and be completely sure and I'm not there yet," she said said. Despite West's diss, the Tennessee-based based singer says she was "really proud to bring the first VMA home to Nashville. [It's good] to know there's a Moonman on it's w way to Nashville." Lee Ann Womack, Phil Vassar and Montgomery Gentry have signed on to sing for more than 350 mililtary bases in one night. They'll perform at the sixth annual American Freedom Festival in Fairfax, Va., on Nov. 7, in a concert that will be broadcast live to military bases in more than 170 countries around the th world. The American Freedom Foundation supports wounded and disabled veterans and their families, families along with families of those killed while serving their country. Pop/AC/CHR Beyonce says she will perform in Malaysia in October, two year years after canceling a show in the Muslim-majority majority country after protesters threatened to disrupt the concert because of her sexy image and clothing. The singer’s upcoming show is already drawing the ire of conservatives iin the country, where female performers are required to cover up from the shoulders to knees with no cleavage showing. Sabki Yusof,, youth vice head of the Pan Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party, said Sunday that they would send a protest note to the government over the concert. He said it was the government's "responsibility to protect the people of Malaysia" from what he described as immoral Western influences. "We are not against entertainment as long as it is within the framework of our culture and our religion," Sabki said. "We are against Western sexy performances. We don't think our people need that." Pink is performing with a separated shoulder. She writes on her Twitter account it feels like "50 angry invisible demon fairies" are stabbing her. She says the show must go on and she will continue her tour. She's been doing a trapeze act as part of her sh show, ow, like she did on Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards. Pink does not say how she was injured. The concerts to celebrate the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 25th anniversary will be shown on HBO on November 29. Crosby, Stills and Nash, Eric Clapton, Aretha Franklin, Metallica, Simon and Garfunkel, Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, U2 and Stevie Wonder are scheduled to perform. So are Jeff Beck, Chuck Berry, Jackson Browne, Dion, Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Anthony Ant and the Imperials, Little Richard, Van Morrison, Sting and James Taylor.. Two concerts will be taped October 29 and 30 in New York. Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley seemed like the perfect rock couple. But at the age of 24, Lavigne began to see things differently, sources say. "She married too young and she finally realized that," says a source. "Avril realized she needs her own life and needs to explore things without him." The couple – who married in 2006, when Lavigne was 21 – announced their split on Thursday after weeks of speculation of trouble in the marriage. RMG Daily Show Prep September 21, 2009 Worth Airport. The airplane staff aff called for medical assistance over the loud speaker and had to administer oxygen to Weiland. Shortly after, Weiland had come to and was “in good spirits” as was taken off the plane for the hospital. Weiland was traveling with his Scott Weiland Band to Miami for a performance and the launch of his clothing line Weiland for English Laundry at the club Mansion. A rep said the singer has a history of seizures, but is now “doing great” and left for Miami to appear at the club as scheduled. Joe Perry hasn't spoken to Steven Tyler in over five weeks. Perry says he hears Tyler is getting better since falling ng off a stage on August 5, but he doesn't really know what's going on with him. Tyler broke his left shoulder and got 20 stitches in his head, forcing the cancellation of the tour. Perry acknowledges he was upset when Tyler was hurt, because right before that Tyler had pulled a muscle in his leg and Aerosmith had to take off for two weeks. Perry says Tyler "has got to get his act together." He says they haven't written a song together alone in the same room in over 10 years. He says, "There's been some changes nges in paradigm of what Aerosmith is." Ozzy Osbourne admits to biting the head off a bat and off a dove, but he never refused to go on stage until he killed 15 puppies. Osbourne writes on his Web site he's giving the straight story in his new autobiography, "I Am Ozzy." He says he took a potentially lethal combination of drugs for 30 years, survived a direct hit by a plane, overdosed, and dealt with STDs, yet he almost died riding over a bump on a quad bike at two miles per hour. Osbourne says his life story "ain't gonna be pretty," and he's always been drawn to the dark side, but he isn't the devil. The U.S. release date for "I Am Ozzy" has not yet been announced, but it will come out in the U.K. on October 1. Tarino Lightbourn, a paramedic who responded to Travolta's call for help as Jett suffered a massive seizure in January, and Pleasant Bridgewater, a former Baham Bahamian ian senator, face charges of conspiring to extort $25 million from Travolta so they wouldn't go public with a document detailing Jett's emergency care that day. Both have pleaded not guilty. Travolta filed an extortion complaint shortly after. Bahamian law dictates that he testify in person. A scare for Ryan Seacrest.. Police in Southern California say a man has been arrested for assaulting a security guard who tried to stop him from getting into a car with the "American Idol" host. Orange police Sgt. Dan Adams says a man tried to enter Seacrest's vehicle on Tuesday as Seacrest left a charity appearance at Children's en's Hospital of Orange County. Adams says Seacrest pulled away and was not involved. 3

RMG Daily Show Prep September 21, 2009 Patrick Swayze fans held a small memorial at the Firefly Cove in Lake Lure, N.C. Saturday to remember the beloved actor. The site was chosen because ""Dirty Dancing" was filmed there. Swayze died last week at the age of 57 after a 20 month battle with pancreatic cancer. A new book proposal from John Edwards Edwards' once-loyal aide Andrew Young asserts that the former Senator promised Rielle Hunter a lavish rooftop wedding complete with the Dave Matthews Band performing, the New York Times has reported. According to Young, Edwards promised Hunter that their star-studded studded wedding would take place just as soon as his cancer cancer-stricken stricken wife Elizabeth dies. Now under investigation for using campaign funds to support Hunter, Edwards is reportedly ready to confess that he fathered Hunter’s daughter Frances. Police have arrested a man they suspect of breaking into the homes of both Lindsay Lohan and Audrina Patridge. Nicholas Prugo, who's 18, is being held on $20,000 bail on suspicion of felony burglary. Lohan's home in the Hollywood Hills was broken into last month. Patridge's home was burglarized in February. Both homes had security cameras going d during uring the break ins. And, Lohan and Patridge have turned the video over to police. The footage from Lohan's home shows three people. Two are seen in the footage from Patridge's home. Lohan and Patridge were both away during the burglaries. Friday marked the final flicker of CBS CBS' "Guiding Light," as that venerable daytime drama logged its farewell hour after 72 years on the air. The last episode took an upbeat, life--affirming affirming tone, complete with a scene that gathered many of the characters at a picnic in the park on a beautiful day. And the closing moments sealed the future of the show's signature on on-and-off-again again supercouple: Reva (Kim Kim Zimmer Zimmer, who created the role in 1983) and Josh (Robert Robert Newman, Newman who started on the show in 1981). They rendezvoused, oused, according to plan, at the local lighthouse and declared their undying love. Then these soul mates climbed into Josh's pickup truck. And they drove away, as tthe he words "The End" flashed on the screen before a final fade-out. CBS will fill the slot "Guiding Light" is vacating with a new edition of the gam game e show "Let's Make a Deal." Ellen DeGeneres doesn't mind a little mocking. After Paula Abdul impersonated her American Idol Ido replacement while hosting Thursday night's VH1 Divas Live concert, the talk show host Twittered Twitter that she loved it. Abdul, who wore a blonde wig and DeGeneres' trademar trademark k suit and sneakers, told the crowd, "All kidding aside, [I have] nothing but love for Ellen, and I wish you the best of luck and congratulations on your new gig." DeGeneres, who will be the fourth judge on the Fox show's upcoming season, Twittered her respect to Abdul. "You've left me some big shoes to fill...unfortunately I don't wear high heels. Nothing but love for you too." Jennifer Aniston slammed New Jersey in an appearance on Chelsea Lately Thursday night, and one of the Garden State's most famous residents is none too pleased. "What is with that smell?" wondered Aniston, who filmed The Bounty with Gerard Butler in Atlantic City for a few weeks this summer. "You know when you drive from Manhattan, and there's that one area?" Real Housewives of New Jersey Jersey's Danielle Staub has a challenge for Aniston:: "Why don't you see more of New JJersey before you say it smells? I would love to hang out with her. Paula is said to have the final say on who will ultimately be cast on the panel with her. Her new series Accidentally on Purpose premieres tonight but there was nothing accidental about the way Jenna Elfman threw out the first pitch at Saturday's Los Angeles Dodgers game against the San Francisco Giants. The actress got it straight across the plate. Jenna and her actor husband Bodhi Elfman are expecting their second baby, a planned event that works perfectly into the storyline of her CBS series. And by the way, the Dodgers creamed the Giants, 12 to 1. The forecast was bright at the box office for "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs," which earned $30.1 million to lead this weekend's films. Oaks Christian High School came to the northwest Friday night to play another prep team. Nicknamed "Hollywood High School", the quarterback is the son of Joe Montana, the running back is the son of Will Smith and Wayne Getsky's kid is on the team, too.

Katherine Heigl is showing off her new daughter, Naleigh, adopted last week from South Korea.

Patrick Swayze is on the cover of this week's People. He's been cremated and his ashes are stored at the office of his lawyer. Saturday, a memorial service was held at Lake Lure, the small North Carolina town where much of "Dirty Dancing" was filmed.

Darrell Hammond is close to a deal to return to "Saturday Night Live" this season. Darrell and the show have been at odds over his new contract.

RMG NewsBusters Guess what police found growing on High Street? Pot. Officers in Millville, N.J., report the odd looking plants sprouting on High Street were indeed marijuana. They were in basket hanging from a lamp post in Millville's business district. Authorities were tipped off by someone who noticed the strange looking greenery. Officials have no idea how that illegal weed came to be growing on High Street. South Dakota's Wild Card 2 lottery is getting too big -- too big for the lottery signs. The estimated jackpot in tomorrow night's drawing now tops one million bucks. But the electronic signs in lotto outlets like convenience and grocery stores only have six digits. So, the those signs read $999,000. State lottery officials say the signs will keep showing that amount until someone wins and the cash jackpot starts over at 100-grand. Wild Card 2 is a multi-state game. But the South Dakota Lottery says the sign problem is just in their state. War can be dangerous -- even for a re-enactor. Now, a Virginia judge has dismissed a firearms charge against a Confederate re-enactor who accidentally shot someone on the Union side. Joshua Silva paid $1,200 in restitution and took a firearm safety class. The accident occurred in southeastern Virginia last year. Silva shot and wounded a retired New York City police officer during the filming of a Civil War film documentary. The man recovered. Prosecutors say Silva didn't realize his replica gun was loaded with live ammunition. Re-enactment organizers also failed to perform the required weapons check. RMG PhoneBusters •
