THE ART OF

THE SPITFIRE BRAD KING 1

WHAT IS “THE SPITFIRE”? “The Spitfire” is a short animation that I am making that serves to visualise self growth over time and how you should never give up on something just because you don’t excel at it the first time.

2

INITIAL CONCEPT The original idea that lead to the development of what would become “The Spitfire was an idea for a short about a girl in a Mad Max type environment who repairs an old Spitfire so she can escape that land. While all concepts from this plan were dropped this was the start of the idea about making a film entered around a spitfire.

FIRST CONCEPTS OF PROTAGONISTS I had initially planned to have 3D modelled characters in my film but after initial tes screenings of my animatic I decided that I would scrap these character ideas and instead 2D Rotoscope my likeness into to the piece to form a mixed media film.
