“Scooby & the gang brought to life on stage is a truly magical experience”

“EXHILARATING Cinderella on Ice”

Donald Hutera – The Times

The world-famous Imperial Ice Stars, who visited Bradford in 2006 with Swan Lake on Ice, are back to thrill audiences once more with their brand new production, Cinderella on Ice. Experience the wonder of this sophisticated and exciting new take on a classic tale.

Scooby-Doo and the gang are back! Following their sell-out success with Stagefright, the ultimate cartoon classic bursts onto the Alhambra stage once again with a brand new show to entertain the whole family.

The 25-strong cast of World, European and National Championship skaters are renowned for innovative skating and story-telling, and continue to break new ground in the genre of ice dancing with daring and graceful feats never attempted before – and all performed in the intimacy of a frozen theatre stage.

Join Scooby-Doo, Shaggy, Velma, Daphne and Fred as they encounter a new case to solve in their trade mark Mystery Inc style. Hold onto your seats as the adventure unfolds with perplexing clues, pirate ghosts and an abundance of Scooby snacks. It’s Scooby-Doo and the gang at their finest and funniest, live on stage and back by popular demand.

The production boasts lavish sets, stunning special effects and opulent costumes. In this new interpretation, The Imperial Ice Stars tell the story of Cinderella, a humble chorus dancer who is thrust into the spotlight as a prima ballerina and captivates the Lord Mayor’s handsome son.

Book now to see these much loved Hanna-Barbera characters as they face one hilarious situation after another, mixing their familiar blend of classic physical comedy, popular tunes and special effects into an irresistible theatrical experience.

This tragic tale of one woman’s consuming love for an unobtainable man returns in 2009 to enthral an entirely different audience, as a sensational new musical. Three extraordinary generations of the Cleary family live through joy and sadness, bitter defeat and magnificent triumph, torn apart by dark passions, violence and a scandalous family legacy of forbidden love. Written by the bestselling Australian novelist Colleen McCullough, with music by composer Gloria Bruni and directed by two time Olivier Award-winner Michael Bogdanov. Brought to you by the award-winning producers of Calendar Girls, Equus and Rebecca, Brief Encounter has a company of ten actor musicians who switch seamlessly between theatre and film to recreate the world of Milford Junction in ways that have never been seen before; it’s a unique theatrical evening and has left both audiences and critics overwhelmed by emotion, laughter, tears and praise for the production in London’s West End. Take one huge hit sitcom from BBC TV, place on a stage in a World Premiere national tour starring Andrew Dunn (Tony) and Shobna Gulati (Anita) from the cast of the TV series. Blend in Victoria Wood’s writing, undoubtedly some of the funniest on television, and whip into a play based on the second TV series, following the reluctant love story of Bren and Tony, egged on by Dolly, Jean, Twinkle and Anita. Mix in caretaker Stan’s words of wisdom and coat with regular appearances by Phillippa from Human Resources and Petula, Bren’s dreadful mother and you have a recipe for madness, mirth and twelve rounds of toast! “This is sheer unadulterated bliss that sits a league above and a class apart... a warm, humorous show that people, regardless of age, creed or social status can watch and enjoy... dinnerladies is timeless” Daily Telegraph Tickets from £10.50 – £23 Evenings: 7.30pm Matinées: Wed 2pm, Sat 2.30pm Captioned performance Sat 20 June 2.30pm Signed performance Sat 20 June 7.30pm

“Dorian Gray is Bourne again. A 21st century makeover that works astoundingly well” Metro Direct from sell-out success in London and the Edinburgh International Festival, Oscar Wilde’s gothic fable becomes a darkly seductive dance theatre event from master storyteller Matthew Bourne. Set in the image-obsessed world of contemporary art and politics, this ‘black fairy tale’ tells the story of an exceptionally alluring young man who makes a pact with the devil. Amongst London’s beautiful people, Dorian Gray is the ‘It Boy’ – an icon of beauty and truth in an increasingly ugly world. The destructive power of beauty, the blind pursuit of pleasure and the darkness and corruption that lie beneath the charming façade; the themes behind Wilde’s cautionary tale have never been more timely. New Adventures are the foremost dance theatre company in the UK, having created an enormous new audience for dance with a series of highly popular productions including Nutcracker!, The Car Man, Edward Scissorhands and the now legendary, Swan Lake. Sat 23 May 8pm The award-winning, hilarious and sometimes poignant tale of a quiet Irish community and its change by the arrival of a massive Hollywood movie shoot is back in Bradford. Universally loved by all who see it, Stones In His Pockets has a disarming simplistic charm all of its own. The entire story is brought to life by two highly talented actors who play over 15 characters between them in a triumph of characterisation and physical comedy. From the two cheeky Irish lads intent on becoming big movie players to the diva lead Hollywood actress, whose Irish accent leaves a lot to be desired, Stones In His Pockets stands out as one of the funniest and moving plays of its time.

This is a rockin’ evening, book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets: £16.50 & £18.50
