HELPFUL INFORMATION To encourage the wide range of wild flowers, grasses and wildlife in the Cemetery some areas will not be mown as frequently as others. The Council aims to provide a peaceful oasis for visitors in the centre of a busy Town. Every endeavour is made to ensure that the cemetery is maintained to a high standard and your help with this is appreciated. The use of fertilisers, weedkillers or other chemical materials, including slug pellets is not permitted. Please use the bins provided for green and noncompostable waste.
LARGES LANE CEMETERY
Please note that there is a formal parking restriction immediately outside the Cemetery gates. Please take note of the following guidance: On new graves fencing or edging, including kerbstones are not allowed, this is to enable ease of maintenance. Glass vases and containers break easily and can cause problems, please avoid their use where possible. Adornments such as wind chimes, balloons, ornaments, soft toys, pictures and very elaborate artificial flower arrangements are not in keeping with the natural environment the Council is seeking to create. We ask that you consider this when placing tributes. The Council reserves the right to remove adornments which are not in keeping with the natural environment, are causing offence or distress to cemetery visitors or prevent the undertaking of routine maintenance and grass cutting.
