2008 Q & A

Solution

A rotates at 180 revs, but is connected to a larger pulley (this distance in size is vital) the smaller wheel is half the size of the larger one. A small pulley can only drive a larger pulley at a slower rev (or vicsa versa). You will only know how much by looking at the ratio of the size of pulleys. A is half the size of B and therefore B will only operate at half the rev of A, meaning half of 180 = 90rev. B & C operate at the same rev because they are the same size so C is also 90revs
