MINERVA’S GRANDEUR A Chartered Accountant by profession who had the courage to take the risk in a business when hospitality had little firm roots in the region, A Vijayavardhan Reddy took a step forward and created along with his Brother-in-law Prabhakar Reddy and his brother Ramkrishna Reddy, a brand that has today become trusted not only for its great food, accommodation and affordability, but contemporariness and trust also. The name Minerva - Roman goddess and the inventor of music, has tactically transformed into a mammoth brand in Hyderabad and what started with Blue Fox in 1982, the first of its kind restaurant in those times, has today become a name that anybody in the state can recognise. Then on came Palace Heights in 1986, Minerva Coffee Shop at Himayath Nagar in 1987, and the famed Viceroy Hotel in the 90s. After a gap, in 2001, Blue Fox and Minerva Coffee Shop came back in another location - Ameerpet and in 2003, in Vijayawada. 2004 saw the group build contemporary and stylish outlets in the form of Eat Street and Waterfront restaurant. In 2005, they started the 3-star Minerva Grand. 2009 saw the opening of another Minerva Grand in Banjara Hills. With such a repertoire and more planned in the state, Reddy along with Chairman Prabhakar and brother Ramkrishna is all set to reach new heights of grandeur in days to come.
