Devotional Book Makes Great Christmas Gift

Pastor Jeff is excited to introduce the new “One Year Devotional Prayer Book II: Living the Life” and to offer it as a great Christmas gift for you to give. Pastor Jeff was asked to contribute to this book, along with Dr. James Merritt, Jonathan Falwell, Allan Taylor and many others. Each day’s devotion centers around a Scripture reading and includes morning and evening prayers. You can purchase a book for $13 in the Blackshear Place main lobby. Pastor Jeff will be

signing books in the main lobby, after each worship service today.

Year-End Giving Members of the Blackshear Place family always express interest in year-end giving. The following will assist you as you prayerfully consider what God would have you give as we approach the end of 2010. » The church office will be open to receive your gifts through 5:00 pm on Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010. Your gifts must be dated 2010 to be credited to your 2010 contributions. » In compliance with IRS regulations, gifts received by mail must be both dated and postmarked in 2010 to be credited to your 2010 contributions. (Gifts dated in 2010 but postmarked in 2011, must be credited in 2011.) » Please be sure you indicate how you wish for your gift to be credited (i.e. Budget, RGN, 316 Offering). In addition, this is also an excellent time to make gifts of appreciated stock to Blackshear Place, receive a charitable donation, and avoid capital gains tax. To ensure the deductibility of your church contributions, please do not file your 2010 income tax until you have written acknowledgement of your contributions from the church. Some of your contributions may not be tax deductible if you file your tax return before receiving this acknowledgement. Please contact Bro. Christopher Martin or Colette Millett in the church office if you have any questions.

Merry Christmas Tracts Please take a moment to stop by one of our Welcome Desks and pick up some of these Christmas Tracts to use during December. This is a great way to share the real message of the Christmas Season as we are out and about.

Our Welcome Ministry volunteers diligently serve the Lord by making people feel special from the moment they arrive on our campus. If you are interested in serving as a greeter, Worship Center section host, parking lot attendant, or shuttle driver, please contact the church office.
