2011 is all about commitment. It’s about devotion, faithfulness, endurance, and perseverance in the simple things that make us love Jesus more. A commitment to these ends is such a rare and wonderful thing, and we hunger for this to be evident throughout our Blackshear Place family. There are four distinct aspects to this 2011 Year of Commitment. First, we are calling for all of us to refresh our commitment to grow deeper by spending time with God each day. To help our families facilitate this, we are offering Word of Life family devotionals. These materials can be ordered beginning today through the church and will provide a central Bible study for every age level in our homes. Below is a listing of the materials being offered and how they break down for each age level.

First Grade Bible Presentation Sunday, January 23, 6:00 pm First grade is when we as a church begin teaching basic Bible skills, such as the books of the Bible, chapter location, and how to find specific verses. To assist children with the development of their Bible skills, we present each first grader with a full Bible. Each Bible will contain the child's name and will be signed by Pastor Jeff. This event is for all first graders and their families. Beginning at 4:30 pm, the children and their families will be treated to snacks and picture time with Pastor Jeff in the Kidz Theater. Sign up by calling the Children’s Ministry Office at 770-534-7058, ext. 226. Today is the last day to sign up your child.

You are invited to be a part of this life-changing trip.

This morning’s message will be available on CD at the Media Center following the service. You can also purchase or order any of Pastor Jeff’s sermon series. CDs and DVDs of all services at Blackshear Place are also available. The Media Center is located in the third level lobby.
