Or for a more leisurely journey take a trip on the narrow-gauge steam train. Back at the Visitor Centre there are art exhibitions on display and you can enjoy a home-cooked meal at Seasons Restaurant. The Rangers also run over 500 events each year. Find us 10 miles north of Bournemouth, signposted from the Ashley Heath roundabout off the A338. Open from 8am every day of the year except Christmas Day. Closing time is at 5pm September to March, 6pm April to May and 7pm June to August. Entrance is free but parking charges apply. Maximum charge for 2016 is £9 per car per day. Coaches and minibuses must book in advance.
