Swanage Railway Station House, Swanage, Dorset BH19 1HB 01929 425800 The Swanage Railway is the picture postcard branch line to the seaside. Steam trains run for six miles, weaving their way through the beautiful Purbeck countryside and past the magnificent ruins of Corfe Castle, through the charming station of Harmans Cross to the sandy beach of Swanage; the eastern gateway to the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage site. The Swanage Railway offers an intensive heritage steam and diesel train service with departures up to every 40 minutes in the summer season. Services run daily April to October and at weekends and school holidays throughout the year. Evening dining, luncheon and cream tea services complement themed events, including steam and diesel galas and our acclaimed Santa Specials and Christmas Luncheon trains during the festive season.
