Sat 5 May 1pm - 4pm Old School House, Gladstone Mews, Gladstone, Boscombe Rd BH7 68G

Where do arts and activism sit currently? Internationally and locally. What makes them different from advertising ploys? Does the work change things? We will be meeting to have a chat with a panel of activist artists, and possibly change the world together.

The Cabinet of Living Cinema perform live to accompany one of the silent era’s most influential masterpieces. Murnau’s eerie gothic psycho-drama, created in 1922, set the template for the horror films that followed. Cabinet’s score uses a range of voices– harp, guitar, viola, clarinet and percussion – to reflect the film’s pioneering expressionism. This landmark vampire film begins in the Carpathian mountains, where real estate agent Hutter has arrived to close a sale with the reclusive Herr Orlok. Despite the feverish warnings of the local peasants, Hutter journeys to Orlok’s sinister castle. Hutter soon discovers that Orlok is no ordinary mortal.
