My name is Jan-Willem van Elten. I have been closely involved as designer in the creation of the Yoi collection. Of course, we were inspired by Japan. Many of our designs also have a touch of oriental mystique. Only high-quality modern materials were used. Sitting comfort, refined design and soft-touch weather-resistant materials run as a red thread through the collection.

In the Umi series this is found in the characteristic lamellar structure of the rope that is used the table tops have a slender slatted design that calls up wicker placemats in a sushi restaurant. Are you ready for Yoi?
