What’s your favourite Borders eatery?
I have travelled extensively in my time, but my favourite location by far has to be France and particularly the south of France.
Coltman’s Restaurant and Delicatessen in Peebles.
I am the principal in the firm and along with my trainee, Heidi, and my staff, Vickie and Liz, am responsible for running my busy practice.
What’s your greatest achievement?
As a lover of gothic horror, it has to be Howard Phillips Lovecraft.
How long have you worked with the firm?
Name two things you can’t live without?
4 years since I opened the firm in Peebles. Previously I had practised in Glasgow as a partner with a well -known firm for many years.
My family and my music. Islands of sanity in a sometimes mad world.
Tell us about your role within Neil & Co?
What do you enjoy most about your job? Getting satisfaction from guiding clients through a sometimes confusing maze of problems presented by the law and bringing them out safely on the other side with what they want and deserve.
What keeps you busy when you’re not at the office? The three children at home and my passion for tabletop wargaming.
Where’s your favourite place in the Borders? Bowhill Estate near Selkirk. A fantastic place to lose yourself on a sunny afternoon.
Tell us about your home or dream home? A nice villa overlooking the Med on the Cote D’Azur.
My family and being lucky enough to own and run my own business along with my other half, Vickie.
Who is your favourite author/ artist or designer?
What’s playing in your car right now? Queens of the Stone Age.
What natural talent would you like to have? To be able to draw a half decent picture.
