Recreation news

Public hearing

Check out the SCRD Fall/Winter Recreation Guide at Fall registration is now underway.

On Thursday Sept 20, 6:30pm a Public Hearing will be held in the SCRD Board Room at the SCRD offices on Field Road regarding Bylaw No. 310.139. The intent of this bylaw is to amend Zoning Bylaw 310 in order to exclude 45 square metres of enclosed parking area (garages) from the calculation of the ratio of permitted floor area to lot size on small lots. This will mean that some properties which could not accommodate an enclosed garage will now be able to have one. Everyone is welcome to attend and offer comments on these changes. Check the SCRD website for more information.

32nd Annual Terry Fox Run: Sunday Sept. 16 Gibsons: Registration starts at 9:00am at the Gibsons Community Centre and the run starts at 9:30am.
