It's Thanos at his very best.By Michael HawkinsThe underlying question of this story is whether or not someone like Thanos could ever hope to change or redeem themselves. This is a kind of 'Prequel' story to the first Annihilation event, giving us a look at the state of things in the Marvel Cosmos a while before all hell breaks loose.Thanos, having just come down from yet another dalliance with Supreme Cosmic

Power, (aka: Marvel Comics: The End) begins to ponder on his purpose, and his life. To the utter surprise of his onagain/off-again ally Adam Warlock, Thanos decides to try and do good throughout the cosmos. Beginning with the Rigellians, whose planet a clone of his had destroyed, the Mad Titan's quest takes him across the galaxy and brings him up against vastly powerful forces as he tries his hardest to do good.He crosses paths, and fists with a variety of individuals. Be it Galactus, a version of the Beyonder, interdimensional beings, Pip the Troll, Gladiator of the Shi'Ar, Starlord, the Fallen One and even his old consort, Death herself. This was an awesome story, proving that when it comes to Thanos... few can write him as well as Jim Starlin. Thanos in this is just so fun to watch, a big magnificent bastard who (at the time) was working for the benefit of Existence, just doing it in his own special way. If for anything, at least grab this to see Thanos' awesome throw down with Galactus.Highly Recommended0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great!!!By batz67This was a great series, brilliant work with Starlin, Giffen and Lim...after Starlin's story it feels a bit uneven, one of the covers shows Thanos visiting Marvell's grave...but it's not in the story...overall some good stuff...but definitely suffered without Starlin.0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. First Half Great, Second Half DullBy BroSpeakThanos: Redemption is a comic worth reading if you're a fan of the character. The first half of the comic tells the story of Thanos wanting.. well.. redemption! Meet back up with Adam Warlock, Galactus, and many more! However, the second half seems to tell a different story.. It's very hard to write a review on it because it was so forgettable, with the only characters really being Thanos, Cosmos, Mynx, and Skreet. Everyone else, along with the plot, was forgettable. After decades of malevolent misdeeds and vile villainy, could the Mad Titan be attempting to redeem himself? Scorned by his paramour Death and changed by his recent battles with the universe's cosmic powers, Thanos may have just decided to turn over a new leaf. But in order to make good on his vow, Thanos must face the world devourer Galactus, the all-consuming universal Hunger, the unimaginably powerful Beyonder, and the unknown threat of the Fallen One! Most of the universe doubts Thanos' sincerity, but a handful of uneasy allies support him: Adam Warlock, Pip the Troll, Gladiator and Star-Lord. Witness Thanos' cosmic struggle for repentance...but ask yourself, what dire fate awaits the universe if he fails? COLLECTING: Thanos 1-12
