Sick Trail GuideBy EpicRiderI am a fan of this book, with fold out maps and detailed trail descriptions, this suits for an ideal weekend warrior who wants a strong baseline to epic south bay trailines such as Coe and Demo. Try to shuttle Coe, its an imaginary and your def. in the cuts. This book def. facilitated the connection between south and north coe. Boo ya!1 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Google maps is betterBy R. AdelmanI am very dissapointed with the maps, the graphics are terrible making it impossible to find your way. The legend has obivously been created by a child. Google maps will give you clearer maps and best of all it is free Mountain Biking the Bay Area is the latest in a series of cool new mountain biking guides from BikeMapDude Productions. Combining the descriptive text of a traditional trail book with the detailed graphics of a fold-out map, Mountain Biking the Bay Area is uniquely designed to be portable and trail-friendly. Based on fifteen USGS maps of the best riding spots in the Bay Area, the book describes hundreds of miles of trails - you can ride our featured routes or create your own great rides. Mountain Biking the Bay Area covers riding spots appropriate for all levels. Beginners will love the rolling trails of the Mid-Peninsula Open Space Parks on Skyline, or the wide singletrack of China Camp in Marin. Intermediates can take in great ocean views at Wilder Ranch State Park in Santa Cruz or the Marin Headlands. Advanced riders will be challenged by the steep fire roads and technical singletrack at Henry Coe, El Corte de Madera, and Soquel Demonstration Forest. BikeMapDude makes some great maps. If you like to try different biking trails, these maps make excellent companions. -- Martha Bakerjian, About.com-SFBikeMapDude's smartly-done series of California trail guides are...a study in concise, accurate information. -- Vernone Felton, BikeMag.com, March 2005
