The Lewis Clark of the 21st CenturyBy David BreedenWhat an Adventure!!! What an adventurer!! Everyone get stressed at one time or another, it is a part of life, just like food and air. Reading the real adventure stories of others, planning your own adventure and finally just doing the adventure you have been dreaming and planning make stress a lot easier to deal with than any other method. Larry Harcum is the "go-
to-guy" for people who need a positive model in how to handle life's stress. I had read three other books on traveling the Great American Loop but they all were accomplished by couples who took a lot of time to see other things along this great water route. A couple of these book actually were on the Great North American Loop which includes parts of Canada. Larry's book is all American. It is very creative from the start to the finish. Day by day you cheer Larry on as he blases a trail for other dreamer/adventurers to follow. Marinas and loop communites better get ready for many more adventurers, both individuals and couples, traveling both the Great American Loop and the Great North American Loop by jet ski due to the influence of Larry's book. In 2012 we plan to do our initial jet ski touring by going on the Tennessee River 600 in late July. Then part of the Great Loop each year for four years between 20132016. Why don't you join us and the great folks of the Tennessee River 600 next summer for a trial run on jet ski touring. Great AdventureBy Daniel SVery enjoyable read. Have you ever had a dream and followed it through? That's what Larry Harcum did. He found a dream and went for it. [br] Imagine driving round trip from New York City to Los Angeles. That's more than 5,000 miles. But Harcum traveled a distance of 5,805 miles alone on a jet ski. To add to the challenge, he decided to make the trip in just one summer - 87 days! [br] Despite months of agonizing planning and preparation, unforeseen challenges surfaced, often with comical results. [br] Larry circumnavigated the Eastern United States on the route known as the Great American Loop waterway starting in his home town of Virginia Beach, went up the Eastern seaboard, through the Great Lakes, down the Mississippi, out into the Gulf of Mexico and back around Florida and into the Atlantic to his home port. Despite fire, rain, hail and a blown up jet ski, Harcum relentlessly pursued his dream. [br] His adventure on the waterways of America, the people he meet and the tests he faced will capture your attention and win your encouragement and respect. Harcum enjoyed this dream ride and you will too. About the AuthorLittle known facts about Larry Harcum: - He doesn't wear sunscreen because he "tans well". - He doesn't wear socks because they re a waste of money. - He actually enjoyed his 20 years as a bank operations manager. - But rather than looking like your typical banker, everyone thought he looked more like the bank robber. He barely skated out of high school with a "D" average, but redeemed himself and graduated college in three years. He speaks fluent Spanish, but likes to mix in English, creating a Spanglish soup. [br] All that aside, first-time author Harcum is thoroughly enjoying retirement. But that doesn't mean he's sitting around waiting for the shuffle board courts to open. He is currently exploring new adventures in the Caribbean and South Carolina, but still takes time out for extended jet ski trips from Key West to Virginia Beach with friends. He and his wife of twenty-five years, Betsy, are living comfortably off the winnings from all those people who bet he would never complete the Great Loop. [br] Larry's next book is in the making, but right now, it's just a dream. You can get additional information about the author at www.dreamrider.us or contact Larry directly at email@example.com.
