Welcome to Hairdressing and Barbering Hairdressing and Barbering is a rewarding, creative and diverse profession. Consumers and employers in the industry expect hairdressers to have technical skills and professional knowledge. Our comprehensive range of full and part time hairdressing courses will enable you to acquire these skills through learner-focused training that is specifically designed to help you become a professional hairdresser. The courses are a great introduction to this exciting area and include skills such as bridal hairdressing, party hairstyling, an introduction to hairdressing and an introduction to barbering skills. Future courses specifically aimed at employers and hairdressers/barbers will focus on the latest skills, updates and techniques in the industry. In addition, we will be offering refresher courses for people who want to update their knowledge and skills in this fast paced industry. The Hairdressing Academy is a ‘Wella Professional Centre of Excellence’ and is based on Deane Road in Bolton. It has a superb range of facilities including a suite of training and commercial salons. Training and coursework is delivered by a highly talented team of occupational experts including salon owners, colour masters, qualified teachers and authors of hairdressing books. From here you could progress on to being a salon stylist, hairdresser to celebrities, colour technician, salon manager, salon owner, or representative for hairdressing manufacturers and much more.
