Marilyn Monroe is considered to be a hero to everybody. Marilyn’s hard work paid off when she won the 1962 Golden Globes for World Female Favorite. She liberated woman and increased the importance of them to today when she started her own production company and produced two films. Her struggles with her personal problems as a child and becoming a celebrity really helped us to connect with her as a human being despite her superstardom. Marilyn was far ahead of her time. She supported equal rights for everyone, including blacks and homosexuals. She was kind and shy to everyone regardless of whom they were. Marilyn Monroe was in love with acting. Her love of it exceeded all the money and fame that came with. I consider Marilyn Monroe a hero because she, in my opinion, had so much more class than people made her out to be. Despite her unhappiness during a time in her life, she was always respectful when she talked to others and seemed very humble when she did and almost always had a smile when doing so. She self educated herself with religion, philosophy, acting, literature, etc. Marilyn Monroe is my hero because she was working in a male dominated world during her time. I want to break barriers between everything just like she did.

"I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love."
