s always, it was another busy year for your Chamber. Here are some Chamber factoids from 2019: We held two Congressional Forums with Rep. Simpson and Sen. Risch, with 350+ attendees. We held three CEO Speaker Lunch Programs with Garrett Lofto (Simplot); Bret Moffett (POWER Engineers); and Rick Murdock (Autovol) with 550+ attendees. We ran five Business Education seminars on topics from branding to online advertising, with 260+ attendees. We ran 12 Business After Hours events at locations across the valley totaling 1,000+ attendees.

We conducted more than 70 committee, council, board, and policy meetings with more than 1,000 participants. We had record numbers of Boise Young Professionals participating in dozens of programs, and graduated a full Leadership Boise class and a full Leadership Boise Academy class. We tracked 51 bills during the legislative session. BVEP brought nine new businesses and 2,000+ new jobs to the valley. The Boise CVB brought scores of conventions, meetings, and events to our community setting record hotel occupancy rates. We also ran 8 major events from our Annual Gala to our Legislative Forum.

Your Chamber continues to be one of the most active in the nation, and is the premier business networking, education, and advocacy organization in our region. Thanks to all our members, sponsors, volunteers, and staff members for a great 2019!

MILKIN' IT: CHAMBER TAKES TOUR OF THE WORLD'S LARGEST DAIRY CORPORATION...IN OUR VERY OWN BACKYARD Warning: This write-up is a little cheesy.

This fall, members of our team got to tour the Lactalis American Group cheese-making plant in Nampa to see the company’s flagship plant first-hand. Lactalis is the world’s largest dairy corporation, and their Nampa facility employs more than 700 Idahoans to make more than 350 million pounds of cheese and whey products each year.
