It’s back - welcome again to the Wheeler’s Stock Farm and Friends Sale! This event has become a great tradition, starting with the 25th Anniversary event in 2022 and it is exciting to keep things rolling. In this 3rd year we are continuing with an exceptional offering of high end cattle from a strong group of breeders. We can absolutely guarantee it is worth your time to come view the stock and enjoy the camaraderie of fellow breeders as there has been great attendance and fellowship leading into the holiday season.

The Wheelers are some of the astute young breeders in the whole cattle business and their top quality livestock are the result of meticulous planning and years of dedication. Purchases from these very pages have resulted in great success for their new owners in production and in quick returns. The group of consignors are geographically diverse but are simply awesome people that do a great job and share the Wheeler’s passion for Angus cattle and this event.

The word opportunity comes to mind - study these pages and you’ll find so many options to move your herd forward and be part of some truly special livestock. The whole world knows about the great Erica 74A and here are multiple options to write your own Erica story. We encourage you to put December 13th on the calendar and plan to be in Bradwell, SK for this outstanding event followed by supper and the promise of a great time (if you don’t know what Hank’s Tavern is, you better stick around)! If you aren’t able to join us in person, our Bohrson Marketing team is fully involved with the offering and would love to help you out with your selections. DLMS.ca is also going to be onsite with the live sale broadcast and online bidding for your convenience.

Best regards, The Bohrson Marketing Team

delivery:We will assist you with delivery and in many situations deliver the cattle ourselves to central locations. For any purchases going to the US we will do all the export testing and administration at our cost and will deliver to the border for free. Trucking costs from the border will be the buyer’s responsibility.

Welcome to the 2024 edition of the Wheeler’s Stock Farm & Friends Celebration Sale. We are very proud of how this event continues to grow and evolve. We sincerely appreciate the breeders that have participated as both buyers and sellers. Their dedication to breed, promote and merchandise the best Angus cattle in North America has helped to create this special event. Part of the reason we started this sale was to help our customers promote and sell their resulting progengy, and we plan to continue with these partnerships. If you are a long time breeder, or are looking at Angus for the first time, we want to work together.

Every consignor has put their best genetics forward in this offering. There are many exclusive genetic opportunities, and we can not think of another sale with more outcross genetics on offer. One of the trademarks of this event is that we have put in the research and development of many new lines of Red Angus cattle, so that you can source outcross genetics that will make genetic improvement. Our focus continues to be about quality, more than colour. You will see some black cattle and genetics in this years sale, and we hope to grow that offering into the future.

It has been rewarding to see over the past year how the purchases from past sales have been working for their new owners. It is exciting to see the impact they are already making, and some past years feature lots also have genetic opportunties in this years sale.

We have complete confidence in the programs and people involved in this sale and we hope that you can join us in person for some hospitality. We also have a very professional sale staff that can assist you with your purchases. We hope to see you sale day.

Regards, Michael, Rhea & Family

Red Wheel Becky 117G

Becky 117G has earned her way to being a donor female. As a two year old she weaned a heifer calf off at over 800 pounds that sold in our first sale to Nu Horizon Angus. Her second calf was our high selling bull that year to Scott Stock Farm, and her two following calves have made the keeper pen. If you study her pedigree you will see it is no suprise she is the type of female that can produce and look good while doing it. Proven and predictable genetics that are still fresh enough to allow flexible matings to all of todays top sires. She has been flushed twice averaging 9 embryos. Her multi-sire exposure was not planned, but no matter which sire bred her the calf will be excitting. We wil cover the DNA costs. Her 2024 heifer calf by Convoy is a stand out and one of the reasons we have decided to sell full interest in 117G. Purple Reign is our exciting Good Time Charlie x Bar-E-L Erica 74A son. Twister is a dark red calving ease son of Typhoon x Annie Oakley 57J. Cows of this quality are rare, and almost never for sale.

Bred May 26 to Red Bar MM Convoy 127K, Black Wheel Purple Reign 154L and Red Wheel Twister 1L.

Selling full interest and possession. Buyer’s Bonus - sells with 3 embryos sired by Red Rainbow Metric 107K. Retaining the right to one future flush.

Black Wheel Erica 153L

I am not sure if there could be a more exciting opportunity for Red Angus breeders than a direct daughter of Erica. Bar-E-L Erica 74A has become a household name around the entire planet, and last fall sold for a staggering $704,000 Canadian. She has produced many daughters that have entered donor programs including the 2023 Agribition Grand Champion Female that sold 1/2 interest for $150,000. She also has produced many leading sons like External Law, Martial Law, Alpine, Legend and Quicksilver. We were fortunate to purchase a flush and chose to mate her to Good Time Charlie, whose progeny have also creatied quite a stir. Partner with us and allow this female to take your program to a whole other level. We had synchronised this female with plans to AI her to Hollywood, but a pen of bulls couldn’t resist the temptation and there went our plans. We then decided to IVF her to the $400,000 Red PIE Hollywood 222 and we are going to share those embryos with our new partner. Talk about genetic lead time!

Exposed to Red Bar MM Convoy 127K. Due early April.

Selling 1/2 interest and 1/2 possession. Buyer’s Bonus - sells with 7 embryos sired by Red PIE Hollywood 222.

The first daughter to sell in Canada from the new Blairs.Ag herd sire Duff Smash. Annie 99M has tremendous volume and shape over her top, and an attractive skull shape. She is destined to make a great brood cow. Her dam Annie Oakley 57J is a new donor for ourselves and Blairs.Ag, and we have been very impressed with her production so far. Her first calf was a bull we retained to use in our program named Twister, and you will be hearing more about him in the future. The Annie Oakley cow family has become recognised around the world, making this opportunity to own a female that offers fresh new genetics backed by a proven elite cow family one you can not miss.

Pride 224M offers as many unique pieces as any female we have ever offered for sale. She is moderte in frame but it big boned, big ribbed, and has a big time precence. She has been extremely competitive this summer for Tate winning Heifer Calf Champion at Summer Synergy, Sask Junior Angus Show, and Red Round-Up. Females like this are the reason why we are so excited about Good Time Charlie. Her dam, Pride 13J, was the high selling bred heifer in our first female sale to Combest Red Angus and we are glad that Lynn has allowed us to manage this female for him. She is one of the great young cows in our program, and has a unique outcross twist to her pedigree being a grand-daughter of LFE BA Lewis 3008B.

Pride 13J - Dam

Red Crooked Sally 04M

We let Michael have his pick of the heifers, but tried to hide this one! Her dam is deep-bodied and dark red with consistent offspring. Sired by Stark, she carries the strong lineage of a cow family that has significantly influenced our herd. We are excited about her potential and are confident she will make a valuable addition to any program.

Aster is one of the best we have raised, proving success with Reserve Grand Champion at Olds Fall Classic, and won her division at The Immortals. Aster is massive in rib shape, wide hipped, and angular fronted. She can be admired with her wide muzzle, and correct skull shape that is typical of Drac daughters. Combining Red Bar E L Certified 95C as MGS and Drac has proven success with this mating landing elite sires at Canadian Sires, Pieper’s Red Angus, and Flying K! Red Bloom Princess 479M

It would be wrong to say we have no hesitation about offering this Revelation heifer calf for sale, because quite frankly we want to hoard them all for ourselves. She is a great example of the crop of calves Revelation left for us on his first go around. Rich color, attractive, sound with lots of style, but maybe the most remarkable thing is how difficult it is to put holes in them. Bred for Balance Princess is not an extreme single trait calf, she is going to do everything well. Her mother 697D was a purchase we made from the Touch of Class sale in 2017 from Spittalburn and she has been a breeding machine ever since. Two daughters retained in herd, 4 granddaughters, and one great granddaughter. She has created her own cow family here very quickly. All these Princess cows here are moderate, and extremely fertile and 479M has the most royal pedigree yet with Revelation on the top side

“Rev” is a bull we could write a book about and so if you want the long story on him give us a call. Bred for Balance, Revelation is the kind of bull who could be and should be used on a wide variety of cows. His calves are born easy and have exceptional vigour. They’re up fast and don’t look back, high energy, and early maturing; the bull calves look like young bulls early and show impressive scrotal development, and the heifer calves are very feminine. He is very long through his middle and back third, and when he is on the move, he hits his mark with smooth confidence. As a coming 3-year-old, reaching full maturity over the next year he is starting to show signs of high testosterone production. Masculine in his crest, shoulder and head he will play a key role in our herd moving forward. Bulls like him come from cows like his mother; Yesmaam 162Y who is a model Angus cow and flushed 23 embryos at 12 years old and will also continue to play a key role for us into the future. 12 Red PIE Hollywood 222

Hollywood is the world record selling Red Angus bull from the spring 2023 bull sale season selling for a $400,000 valuation. His record setting appraisal is the result of his combination of curve bending calving ease and growth, breed leading carcass, captivating phenotype and is backed by the renown Abigrace cow family. We were not drawn to the bull by his outstanding numbers, but they are off the charts. We appreciate Hollywood for his massive phenotype and when Mark Pieper told us you couldn’t put a better foot on a Red Angus bull we were sold. His young dam is a beautifully made cow that is worthy of being the dam of a herd bull. Selling 100 units in 10 straw increments. The only semen to sell in Canada for 2025.

When we found Good Time Charlie we knew we had something special. He had a character and precence we had not found in a Red Angus bull that still had as much softness, rib shape, and flexible structure. He has transmitted those traits into both his male and female progeny. His sons were among the high selling sire groups this spring, and his daughters getting ready to enter production are going to make great cows. His dam, Siera 104E, is considered one of the leading cows in the highly regarded SSS program. Wether you are looking to make herd sires, brood cows or show females, Good Time Charlie can cover all the bases. Selling the United States semen rights. Its worth noting that she is now 17 and weaned another bull calf this fall. The depth of maternal prowess in Jameson’s pedigree includes the likes of Cora, Zama Pine, and Panama. 348L is attractive, deep bodied, and feminine. Tinsel 12H is a young up and coming super star in our herd who has knocked it out of the park on all three of her calves and doesn’t look to be slowing down. The grand-dam, Becky 28E, produced a Stark son that sold to Rooke Farms in Manitoba for herd sire duities and she has another stand out son in the bull pen this year. The calf she is carrying by PIE Complete 221 could very well pay for this female in one year. Exposed Apr. 10-Jul. 31 to Red PIE Complete 221. Observed bred May 12.

BLACK WHEEL DRACARYS 178E

One of the most attractive females in our offering. This heifer is backed by the Anne cow family. Anne 93B is the dam of Dracarys 86G who has had a huge impact at Allison Farms and across the breed. The Stark progeny are usually extremely docile but this female is a little more alert. She has not been a problem. We just like to represent our cattle with honesty and integrity.

Observed bred Apr. 16.

Auburn 134L is a powerhouse female that will raise herd bulls. She has as much natural muscle shape and fleshing ability as any female in our offering. She will be a brood cow that produces even under tougher conditions. She traces back to our donor female Auburn 89T.

Exposed Apr. 10-Jul. 31 to Red PIE Complete 221.

Talk about an outcross pedigree! If you want a female that is unique on paper, here’s your one chance Fancy don’t let me down. We bought Executive 8J to add some extra length and growth, and we felt his sire Executive Decision was the best son of Natural Law. Fancy 72C has put a feature female in each of our past sales.

Drogon may not be as well known as his full brother Stark, but if he keeps producing females like this he soon will be. Becky 160L is the youngest female in our offering, but is very correct and complete. Again the Becky cow family is rock solid in production.

Typhoon has been the best all around calving ease sire we have used. His sons are the kind you can sell with ease all day long, and his daughters make great replacement females. They are moderate and stout made, feminine, and very productive. Auburn 14L is one of the most complete made females on offer.

Exposed Apr. 10-Jul. 31 to Red PIE Complete 221. Preg-checks for January.

Typhoon mated to a Stark daughter is the mating we had in mind when we bought Typhoon, and boy does it work. Allison 42L has a little extra punch and stretch in this sire group, but still has that Typhoon stamp. Should be a quick ROI with her mating to Complete.

Red Wheel Auburn 75L

Auburn 75L has been a stand out from day one. Her dam, Auburn 134J, produced another heifer at the top of the replacement pen this year by Good Time Charlie. Auburn 31B raised a ripper heifer that we sold a few years ago in the Pinnacle sale to Twin Willows in Missouri. If you study these Typhoon daughters you can see the influence that his dam, Joanna 145C has, and why they are making great cows.

Exposed Apr. 10-Jul. 31 to Red PIE Complete 221. Observed bred April 15.

Joanna 145C - Grand-Dam

All these Typhoon daughters were raised by first calf heifers. When your heifers can produce females that fit in your replacement pen like this you know you have something special. Dark red, tanky, must be another Annie Oakley. With the cattle market where its at the calves inside these females have huge ROI potential.

A high quality female to end the offering. I must sould like a broken record by now, but this Tyhpoon sire group is consistent and impressive. A full sister to her dam, Becky 33J, is a donor female for Sandride Land & Cattle, Oklahoma that sold to them in the Rose Bowl. That’s right, her grand-dam Becky 86E, is a direct daugher of Bank Note.

Commercial Females

We have decided to offer a group of pure bred Angus females as commercials. They are selling without papers but could be made available for an additional cost. These females will be productive foundation stock for a progressive operation to produce superior steers or replacement heifers. They would work extremely well to produce F1 replacement heifers that demand a premium in the marketplace. We will publish a complete listing of all the females prior to the sale.

Customer Listing

We would like to help our customers market their replacement females. If you have heifers for sale, or are looking to buy, contact Michael at 306-260-7336. We can help connect buyers looking for high quality Angus influenced females. Watch our facebook page for opportunities.
