Shimmer is a hard heifer to let go and the only reason we decided to part with her is because we have two half-sisters in the herd. Her mother is a front pasture cow that has been very consistent with her calves. She descends from the famous Cobra bull. Shimmer’s dam has passed on her extreme docility and gentleness to Shimmer and her sisters too. Shimmer is halter broke and has been to a few local fairs and without batting an eye. Shimmer is sure to be a graceful show heifer that will mature into a hard-working cow for her new owners.

These two heifers are bred to Donovandale Daddy’s Dolla which is a son of Starwest Pol Blueprint for a March 20th calf, both bred just a couple of days apart. They were checked safe in calf on the farm in mid August by Cobden Animal Centre. These two heifers are embryo heifers born a day apart and look very similar although papers say horned they are actually scurred. The embryos came from Bar 5 ranch with both the sire and dam coming from Buzz Hollow Ranch. I believe these heifers will make very good cows and for this reason they will be offered on choice in the ring, the successful bidder will have their choice and I will bring home the remaining heifer.

Flower is coming to you straight out of our replacement pen. She was slated to stay as her dam is going on 9, her grand-dam is going on 13 and she is our second last calf crop out of our walking bull Zorro. With this being our first consignment to the Stars of the Valley Sale we felt it necessary to dig deep and offer our best red heifer. Flower’s cow family comes right from the heart of our purebred program. It doesn’t happen very often that we let these females go. She goes back to the great Bellstar Salee cow that produced many champions. This cow family is functional, productive and competitive. The terms of the sale are cash or cheque payable at par at the sale location. All settlements must be made with the clerks of the sale before any cattle are released.
Assistance will be given in making shipment after the sale, but the Sale Managers or seller assumes no risk. Expenses incurred are the responsibility of the purchaser. Purchasers are requested to furnish shipping instructions when making settlement.

Every animal consigned to the sale must be sold by auction. No private sale will be allowed except as otherwise provided for in the terms and conditions. No by-bidding will be permitted. Each animal will be sold to the highest bidder. Disputes

The proper registration or recordation paper, as the case may be, will be duly transferred and furnished to the buyer for each animal after settlement has been made.

All animals will have passed the required tests as determined by Agriculture Canada at the sale location. It is the buyer’s responsibility to determine health requirements for importing any animals into their province or state. Sales Management assumes no responsibility for the health status of any animal in the sale. breeders guarantee
Cows represented as being “pregnancy tested safe” have been examined and declared safe in calf by a licensed veterinarian and will be accompanied by a veterinarian’s certificate to this effect. They are considered breeders without further guarantee. Cows and heifers represented as “bred” are not guaranteed safe in calf, but they and open heifers selling as individual lots are guaranteed as breeders. No guarantee shall apply to suckling calves. In the event a female is claimed to be a non-breeder and after having been bred regularily to a bull known to be a breeder and after having been treated by a licensed veterinarian, the matter must be reported in writing to the seller within six months of the sale date. For heifers under twelve months of age who were purchased as single lots and who fail to conceive to the service of a bull known to be a breeder, the matter must be reported to the seller before the heifer reaches eighteen months of age. The seller shall have six additional months in which to prove any such female a breeder and may use any registered bull of the breed available to him. Any female returned will be at the purchaser’s risk. No guarantee is given that a pregnant female will deliver live calves, nor that she will carry calves to full term, nor that the calf will not be mummified. The seller is not repsonsible for damage caused by foreign bodies after the animal has been sold. Nor for sickness not apparent at sale time.

In cases where the animal is subjected to any hormonal or surgical reproduction techniques after the sale, the guarantee shall be null and void. settlements
Transportation charges on animals returned to the seller are for account of the purchaser. No incidental expenses such as feed, AI signing fees, interest, veterinary charges, etc. will be charged by either party when making settlement. If the seller is successful in proving the animal is a breeder, then said animal will be reclaimed by the purchaser at his expense. Should the seller fail to so prove the animal a breeder, then the buyer will be guaranteed a satisfactory replacement F.O.B. ranch or location or original or a refund of the purchase price paid F.O.B. selling point. In no event shall the seller be responsible for more than the purchase price. Should a dispute arise over the quality of a replacement animal, the Sale Management will appoint a mediator. rights and obligations
The above terms and conditions of the sale shall constitute a contract between the buyer and the seller and be equally binding to both. Resale of animals following the purchase in this sale shall constitute a separate transaction and the rights and obligations of the two parties concerned thereto are not covered by the terms and conditions of the sale. tampering
Any person caught tampering with any cattle entered in the sale ring or administering any product, solution or liquid internally will be disqualified from the sale. Further, that person will be required to leave the premises.
