1. Visit https://farmgatetimedauctions.ca, then click on the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button. First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. This program will send you text and email messages whenever there is activity on your favorite lots or someone challenges your proxy bid and this is why you will be asked for both your current email and cell phone number. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your user name and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding for 5 minute if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after 6 PM will extend the sale by 5 minutes from the time of that bid. When no bidding occurs for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Within 24 hours of the sale close DLMS will contact winning bidders via email with an invoice payable to Greenvalley Ranch Ltd. Transfer of papers and delivery will be arranged with Greenvalley Ranch Ltd upon sale completion.
If you require assistance with using the new DLMS Farm Gate web site, if you don’t understand how to create a favorites list, if you can’t figure out the proxy bid or you just plain want to bid via phone, please talk to any of the DLMS team or Sale Consignors.
What is racehorse style sale close? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
how will extended bidding work? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
We want to welcome you all to our 3rd Annual Bull Sale. It’s hard to believe how fast another year has come and gone. Huge thanks to everyone who has supported and shown interest in our program as we continue to develop our herd. There is a large amount of quality cattle in the industry and we strive to bring you top end livestock. We continue to be very selective of our cattle to bring the upmost quality to the table. This year’s bull pen is definitely a reflection of our program and the direction we are continually working on. We continue to build our embryo program and a large portion of our implants are from our own in herd cows. This year we posted our best weaning weights yet and we feel that our genetics are proving we are improving year after year. We made a difficult decision this year to step out of the Border City Simmental sale. This was not an easy thing for us to do as we know it was an amazing opportunity for us to be a part of such a successful sale full of fantastic breeders. Our decision was made based on our cow herd and our desire to really build a rock-solid base of females so that we can continue to improve and raise the best quality bulls we possibly can. This year, as many were, in a border line drought. However, we were fortunate to get just enough timely rains to put up plenty of feed, and harvested a good crop. Between the cattle, grain and off farm enterprises we don’t seem to have any free time. We are grateful to have excellent help on the farm and the interest shown in both the grain and cattle operation. The family is growing fast and exciting for me that they love to be out and about on the farm with the cattle or riding in equipment. This is the part that makes it all worthwhile.
We would like to invite everyone that can, to come and tour our bull pen. The mothers are available to be viewed as well. Taking pride in our 4-legged family we are always excited to show them any time we can. Our cattle are 100% guaranteed. We stand behind our stock and require them to meet your total satisfaction. If you have any questions feel free to reach out to myself or the Bohrson Marketing team which are familiar with our herd. Know that the bull pen is here to see whenever it works for your schedule!
We look forward to seeing you and answering questions you may have on our offering.
Hugh & Raylene and Family Vermilion, AB 780-581-8608
The Green Valley Ranch program has made leaps and strides forward in just 5 short years on their quest to bring quality Simmental genetics into the beef industry and on behalf of Hugh Stewart and family, we are proud to welcome you to their 3rd annual online bull sale.
Hugh is one of the straightest shooters you will ever meet and says it how it is with no sugar coating. His strict culling process and no none-sense standard held in his cow herd is evident in this years bull pen as you will find an extremely consistent pen of beef bulls with many suited for both the cow and heifer pens. These bulls are heavy muscled and robust with excellent structure with a heavy emphasis on sound feet and legs. Hugh has invested heavily into building around elite cow families and using industry leading sires to work in his herd and this too is very apparent as you study his offering. Many 1/2, 3/4 and full brothers are available and are a great representation of the uniformity that Hugh has assembled. These bulls are fed and developed to last but should any problem occur with any of your purchases, Hugh wants to be the first person to know so he can get you looked after. Hugh is happiest when his customers are and we know that investing in a GVR bull will do just that.
We highly encourage you to make the time to travel to Vermilion and tour the bull pen with Hugh. This is a set of bulls that needs to be evaluated. All of us at Bohrson Marketing listed are very familiar with the GVR program, goals and intentions and would be very pleased to assist you in any way possible. Please feel free to contact Hugh or any of us at anytime leading up to sale close out time.
Best regards,
The Bohrson Marketing Team
“Our bulls are bred and fed to last. We have complete confidence that our bulls will go out and work for your operation. Make sure to contact myself or any of the BMS if you are unable to make the sale. We will help you find the right bull for you.”

I have been pleased to be the consulting herd veterinarian for Hugh Stewart for many years and am writing to confirm that his herd has been on a sound herd health program since its inception. Hugh has proven to be very diligent with annual vaccinations for the prevention of respiratory and reproductive disease, as well as scours and blackleg. We have spoken extensively
about nutrition programs, bull development, feet and leg conformation and bull longevity. Hugh is committed to bull longevity as a primary goal in his herd and I believe that his bulls will achieve this through a moderate feeding program and selection for proper conformation. Above all, Hugh has proven to be fair and honest and always has the buyer’s best interest up front. I believe that you can buy with confidence!
19K has been a stand out bull since the day he was born. We knew he would be special given both who his sire and dam were. Tycoon has not disappointed in any situation we have used him. Leila was a donor cow that we purchased with Canadian Donors and she has proven year after year and really a cow that was almost impossible to fault. We loved the powerful Leila with her calm demeanor which she passed on to 19K. Perfect udder, solid feet, length, depth, and frame were qualities that we feel 19K will pass on to his progeny from 75Z. Given the genealogy of this bull, he will pass on all the qualities of his parents, to any program he is put in. 19K is deep, wide topped, dark red and has the calm temperament that we demand from our cattle. Don’t miss the opportunity to take this bull home to your cows. He is a natural calf from 75Z.
1J was the first calf who was born in our 2022 calf crop, which gave him a head start for sure, but he didn’t let that stop him from keeping ahead of the herd. He weaned off in the top end of the group and continued to grow and remain there even till today. He is stacked on his genetic’s with his mom being a full sibling to the great 202Z that everyone in the business knows. 1J has tons of hair but don’t be fooled by his beautiful coat, he is wide topped and as deep as they get.
Easy keeper is an understatement for this donor we bought with Scott Bohrson from the Rust program. All of these sons are very deep and wide topped, like their mother. 6105D has tons of milk to raise the tanky calves like her natural calf 46K, a really cool Tycoon son. These Rio Grande Embryo Transfer sons have her easy fleshing genetics as well. Really these boys are peas in a pod in many ways proving the consistency of their dam. We have proven Tycoon ourselves as well as you can see in many other programs. Rio Grande has proven to us how well he can make females so when we see these sons and remember his sire and dam these 3 brothers are also stacked on their genetics! Any of these 4 maternal brothers are going to add the efficiency to your calves that will save you feed and max out the scale!
This black beauty has become a cornerstone female in our herd. She has the qualities that we expect in our program. Perfect feet, fantastic udder, deep, broad top, and easy keeping. 48E started off raising daughters that were always getting picked for the Border City Simmental sale. We couldn’t get enough of this cow so we felt flushing was what we needed to do to really build off of her.
45K is her natural calf that is a full sibling to the mother of 18K. This summer we were placed Grand Champion pair at the very competitive Vermilion Fair pen show with 48E and 18K. When I asked the judge after why he picked them I was told that 45K was the reason. 45K came as a result of 48E’s previous Rio Grande daughter. Taylor wanted to take her to the sale but we had to keep one of her daughters. As we tried to replicate 48G we ended up with a brother and he is a stand out in the pen. Docility is fantastic in the 48E off spring but having said that 45K did get a little nervous of the clippers when getting ready for his pictures.

3J & 4J are a embryo split set of twins from our flush to the exciting LFE Amber. These two are smaller framed bulls that will add the depth and easy fleshing qualities that are so crucial to your bottom line.

18K is a very impressive bull. You need to note he is out of a first calve heifer and I gotta say Guardian was a perfect pick to cross to as he had the muscle tone from a baby and weaned off in the top. The growth in this calf was unreal. 18K and his mom 48G were class winners as well at the Vermilion Fair pen show.
Where do we even begin talking about this bull. We have not been disappointed with any of our Tycoon calves from day one, whether they are bulls or heifers. We love the dark red and quiet off spring that are stand outs from the day they are born to today. It is very easy to walk in the pens and pick out any Tycoon progeny.
37K is a 7/8 percentage bull that is a tank. We acquired his mother from the Wilson Dispersal Sale. This bull is blood red, wide topped and really deep. 37K will complement any commercial herd or bring in some outcrossed blood for a breeder.
54K The pen pet. 54K is off a Westgold daughter that has some size. Not only does his mom have the frame but udder and feet are top notch as well. This bull has had incredible performance and is weighing second in the pen at this day of writing. Broad topped, long as a train, and deep as they come, he is hard to fault and we know that he will put the growth results in any herd that would make you proud of your pen.
5J is out of a moderate Stepping Stone daughter that would be of the hardest females to fault in our herd. Perfect udder with plenty of milk, built on solid feet and legs. He will have the dam quality’s that are a must for our bulls to be passing on to their offspring. A little more moderate frame than his brother he is still no slouch with his growth and weights.

With this cross we feel the sky is the limit for what unreal offspring this bull will create whether they are bulls or heifers. No grass will grow under this bull we are confident he will cover the ground required. 29K is one of the longest bulls in the pen and will be sure to add frame to any operation with the proven dam qualities we have seen off of paternal siblings.

57K is out of one of our deepest cow families. Often hard to appreciate the length when there is so much depth. Time Warp’s sire goes back to the never fail Captain Morgan and we see can see proven genetics showing through on 57K. This bull may show a high calving ease number but it didn’t slow down the performance in his DNA for posting a weaning weight.
Intrigue is our full sibling brother to the outstanding SVS Betts that commanded $120,000. This is an embryo bull we raised and utilized in our herd. Unfortunately, he was injured this year in breeding season but we have some outstanding sons and daughters off him to carry on his legacy. Intrigue had the depth and top we desire in all our cattle. Easy fleshing, tons of hair, and a demeaner like that of and old family dog.

82K is a stand out. Sired by a full brother to SVS Betts that we raised and unfortunately lost during a competitive breeding season. 82K’s dam was a consistent cow. Elite was at the top end of moderate frame and was always nicely filled out and great udder with plenty of milk to raise the big calves. Like many, 82K has a wide top, lots of hip and a frame to carry the easy fleshing pounds you want at weaning.

40K was always an eye catcher everyday this summer walking through the first calvers pen. Blood red and growing like crazy you couldn’t miss him, especially with his curious personality, which comes from his moms side of the family. It’s hard not to be impressed with the work 38G put into this calf and caught back good and early. Tidal Wave, purchased with Canadian Sires, is proving that he has what it takes to make some fancy calves. 40K has tons of hair and if he continues to grow like his sire this guy will definitely be a rockstar.
Chief is a herd sire that continues to impress us. He doesn’t give his competition in the breeding pen a chance, as each year he by far has the majority of the calves. This bull gets two breeding seasons and comes back looking about as good as the day he gets turned out and works hard while on the job. Chief is a smooth bull and long as a train. He is an easy keeper and when crossed with many of our easy fleshing cows the result is some awesome growthy powerful bulls.

Dark red just as we like them. This bull is out of a beautiful young cow that is developing just like her mother, perfect udder, fantastic feet, and a long frame. Millington Brisk is a bull we do not regret adding to the herd at all. Calving ease and performance can often be hard to come in a package but that’s just the start of what Brisk has to offer. Big solid feet and legs under his smooth long frame allow for the ease of birth and plenty of room for growth in his calves.
