In 2010 we made the trip to Iowa to take in the Janssen Farms production sale, after going through the cattle we quickly found 16W consigned by Ruth Family Simmentals. When visiting with the Ruth’s we learned that her dam was the overall supreme champion female at the Nebraska state fair as well as the record setting 60,000 dollar female at the NAILE Simmental sale in 2007. In the end we were fortunate enough to acquire 16W. The following spring after she had a beautiful Movin Forward heifer calf, we decided that she may just be the one to build a herd around. Since then we have flushed her a few different ways and each way has yet to disappoint us. Many years her bull claves have been the top of the bull pen. Her Broker son was a stand out and topped the Jeans and Genetic bull sale in 2016. We sold her natural heifer calf to Mader Ranches in 2012 along with a Terminator daughter to Robb Farms in 2015 and her Stepping Stone heifer will sell in the Canadian Classic Simmental Sale as well. 16W will be headed to Bow Valley in late October as we are going to begin flushing her again this fall. Here’s your chance to put your own twist on a very productive and proven cow. We are guaranteeing 6 embryos and split the balance of the flush .
