The Life Skills Kids Learn at Summer Camp A summer camp is a supervised program for kids or teenagers conducted while the summer months in some countries. Kids and adolescents who visit summer camp are known as campers. Summer school is regularly a required academic curriculum for a student to make up work not accomplished while the academic year, whereas summer camps can include academic work, but is not a necessity for graduation.
