BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY After more than two years of its borders being closed to the world, Japan is finally welcoming international visitors back. During the first phase of reopening, travellers will be allowed entry on the condition that they are on a fully-guided package tour. The daily entry cap has been doubled to 20,000, and all visitors must test negative for Covid-19 within 72 hours prior to departure.


W FOR WOW FACTOR Joining Dubai’s growing list of luxury glass skyscraper hotels is W Dubai – Mina Seyahik on the Jumeirah Beach coastline. The 31-storey hotel features 318 rooms, including 27 suites, all with a private balcony and views of the Arabian Gulf. Due to open in 2023, the hotel’s Malakite beach club and pool is set to become Dubai’s latest music hotspot. Surprise performances will keep guests entertained during the day and at night the action will move into the 1200 square metre indoor arena.
