OTHER NEWS Congratulations go to the following students who gained Distinctions in the recent ABRSM and Trinity Exams: Lola Grieve (Grade 8), Joshua Venables (Grade 8), Connor Moore (Grade 5), Thomas McCann (Grade 7). Particular congratulations go to Lian Wan Tattersall who achieved 137 in her Grade 3 bassoon exam (ABRSM) and Alice Wooton, Grade 6 trumpet (Trinity), who gained 91 marks out of a possible 100, and Purav Menon who is on the oboe taster course and about to take grade 5 oboe – a great achievement. The CYM Dance Band are on fine form and have been invited to Birmingham Town Hall for the Music for Youth National Festival on 8th July. The Wind & Brass Departments were well represented in the Chamber Concert and the Annual Concert. As you will have already read in this issue, students are keen to take the opportunity to perform whether it is in an informal setting on Saturday lunchtimes, or on stage or playing jazz in the foyer at Milton Court!
