The Year of the Disciple This year proved to establish discipleship in our hearts in ways we never expected. It has been challenging, awakening and brutal, but also transformational and illuminating. We have seen people who were far from Jesus follow Him. We have seen those who never knew Him say yes to Him. We have seen this body stand on their faith and come together, however we could, to worship, learn, give, and support each other.

One thing I have loved witnessing during this challenging year was you, in spite of struggles, through the power of Jesus, creatively finding and fighting for ways to advance the upside down Kingdom of God. While finances don't represent everything, they do give us a picture of God’s faithfulness and our hearts. In Matthew 6:12 Jesus said, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” connecting the investment of our finances to the condition of our heart. What you will see in this report is an exciting reflection of your heart’s generosity for God’s work through our community of faith. 2020 has been quite a year for Blue Ridge in Bedford! "It began with Bedford services meeting in Bedford Elementary, then meeting outside, then finally meeting regularly in our Bedford campus home at the Westgate Shopping Center! Through God’s generosity, we were able to pay off the construction loan in cash and acquire the Gordman’s building for $88,000, opening up space for our youth and for community outreach. We move into the new year with a sense of excitement about the things God has in store for us as we continue to pursue the vision – making disciples who make disciples."
