ABOUT US Our location We are based in Rubery, on the north Worcestershire, South Birmingham border. We offer our Accountancy and Bookkeeping services to the local area â€” B45, B31 â€” Rubery, Longbridge, Cofton Hackett, Northfield and Rednal and Halesowen. However, we are happy to expand our other services further afield, as we work as a virtual service.
ABOUT US We’re jargon free! You’ve heard it all — you’ve watched The Apprentice! We’ve all heard the corporate phrases and overused buzz words that filter round the business world — ‘thinking outside the box’, ‘ballpark figure’, ‘blue sky thinking’, and so on. We don’t do that. We’re friendly, down to earth people, and we won’t bamboozle you with jargon. We don’t know what a JT33 spindle taper is, so we don’t necessarily expect you to know how Mail Merge works, or what Access Database is all about (although we will explain if you really want to know!) If you know what you want, but don’t know how to produce it, just explain what it you need and we’ll try to create something around your specifications. If we don’t know, we can try to find someone that does. It doesn’t hurt to ask, after all. Michael keeps his ‘accountancy speak’ to a minimum and explains all that he’s doing and what you need to do, in a way you understand.

Bookkeeping is a term which refers to the recording of financial transactions. Financial transactions can include a range of documents such as sales, receipts, purchases and payments. It is a legal requirement that transactions have to be recorded into â€˜the booksâ€™ or the accounting system for tax reasons; therefore it is an extremely important process for any business. Bookkeeping is a service which should be performed by skilled bookkeepers who are professional and ensure attention to detail throughout their work. We provide professional bookkeeping services from basic bookkeeping tasks such as manually inputting information into online cashbooks, right up to managing accounts. For this we use the Kashflow software. If you would like to arrange face-to-face services or meetings in the local area, this can be arranged. Depending on your specific requirements we can provide you with as much or as little help as you need.
We offer PA services in all areas below. Our PA services are remote and offered on a virtual basis, over the telephone and by electronic means, except for local customers, where feasible. We are happy to discuss your needs further.

It is important to build a relationship with your PA that works for you. It should be based on trust and understanding. A good PA will know how you prefer to work and will, where possible, fall in with this. You should be able to trust your PA implicitly with anything they are working on for you. They can become an integral part of your life. 10
Audio Transcription (Typing from the spoken word) We can create printed or electronic documents from the recorded spoken word, typed at 60 words per minute. We accept wav, wma and mp3 digital files as well as digital video files which can be uploaded to the internet or sent to us by e-mail or by post on a DVD or data stick. The completed document can then be returned by e-mail or sent in a printed format to an address of your choosing. This text may also be formatted into other documents. Copy Typing (Typing from the written word) We can create typed documents to your specifications from the written word using the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint. This could be rough handwritten notes or previously typed documents where the original copy has been lost or is not available. We can present your text in a format of your choosing. We can correct spelling, grammar and punctuation for you, or leave it exactly as the original copy as per your specification. We can either provide a format for your documents or work with your own templates or company stationery. Originals can be sent and received electronically, by fax or via recorded delivery post. Please note that dissertations will be typed as per the written text and we will not make any changes to these documents other than grammatical, spelling and punctuation.
Have you started a Word document and found yourself in a fix and you donâ€™t know how to correct it or tidy it up? We can help. We will look through your document and, with a trained eye, correct any errors such as justification, page numbering, style, font consistency, paragraph styles, tabs, character styles, list / table structures to provide attractive, structured and consistent documents. Quite often, Word documents go through many different hands for people to add their own input to it. As such, the document can become unmanageable because of all the formatting people have used. One example of this might be someone adding new paragraphs to the document and trying to incorporate new paragraph numbering. This will then throw the current numbering and other elements, such as images, font and page justification, out of alignment. In these cases, it needs someone to go through the core of the document to unravel all the formulas and make it easier to amend / work with.
Do you have to create a CV (Curriculum Vitae) and just donâ€™t know where to start? We can help. If starting from a blank piece of paper, we can go through the entire process with you, working with you to determine your experience, previous employment history and the type of work you are looking for, to enable us to create a CV an employer would take notice of. This can be done face-to-face (local area) or over the telephone or e-mail if you prefer. Maybe your CV is too long and youâ€™d like to shorten it without losing too much of your valuable information. We can also re-type your CV if you have lost your electronic copy. We can create templates to suit yourself or work with your own format. You will then receive your completed CV in the form of a Microsoft Word document by either electronic means or by registered post. We will make any alterations to this as necessary. Further amendments to update your CV in the future can be made, but at the same rate as the creation of your original CV.
We can enter, update and maintain data into an existing Excel Spread sheet or we can create this for you to your specification. We accept text or numerical information via e-mail, fax or by registered post. Please note that this function is entering data only and does not include using the information to create graphs or pivot tables.
We can design a professional and attractive PowerPoint presentation with text and visual elements, such as music, video and animations. PowerPoint presentations work like slide shows. To convey a message or a story, you break it down into slides. PowerPoint presentations are used in classrooms and business and, more increasingly of late, during job interviews. A PowerPoint presentation will â€˜bring aliveâ€™ a point or message that you want to get across to a room full of people and enhance the oral delivery of the topic.
Mail merge is used when you want to send out multiple letters / documents but you want these to be personal to each of your customers, clients, family or team. For example, the main body of text in the letter remains the same but adds personalisation (of your choosing), such as 'Dear George' as opposed to 'Dear Customer / Sir'. You can also add personalisation to the body of your letter, for example, For thank you letters following a wedding: â€˜Dear <Elizabeth> Thank you so much for the <crystal wine glasses>â€˜ We can either forward the completed letters for you to put into envelopes and post yourself or we can do this for you. We can also send these letters by e-mail on your behalf if you wish. Please note that the cost of posting is additional to the hourly rate. If you require a quick turnaround for this and more than one person is needed to complete this job, there will be an additional fee.
Stationary sets We can design your invoices, letter heads, dispatch notes and compliment slips, incorporating your logo and branding throughout. We can either print these for you, or send the finished document by email for you to type directly onto. We can also design your business cards ready for printing, or arrange for these to be printed for you.
Logo Design Looking for a professional logo for your company stationary or website? We can create a logo to your specification, using specific or specialised fonts and images. This may start as an idea in your head or a rough sketch on a scrap of paper. Brochures and flyers, postcards, newsletters, Have you got an event you want to publicise or you want brochures to advertise your business? We can work with you to design a flyer or brochure to your specification.
Do you spend so much time dealing with your customer invoices and chasing payment that it is stopping you from actually working? Let us type your customer invoices and send these on your behalf in the post or via e-mail. We can use your own company stationery or a template of your choosing. We will then politely remind your customers that payment is due after a period specified by you. We will keep a Spreadsheet of all correspondence to your customers, either by letter or phone, which we will forward to you at your request. Please note that whilst we are happy to remind your customers about payment and advise you accordingly if there is a problem, any further debt collection would need to be dealt with by a debt collection service, should you wish to pursue this course of action. Again, the dates of all our prompts and reminders to your customer will be available to you.
