Get ready: We’re testing a new issuu with beauty and brains

By Issuu OpsOctober 13, 2016Last updated on February 2, 2018Product Updates

Starting this week, a small portion of people visiting isuuu.com will see a redesigned reading experience for all browsers, all devices. (We gave a sneak peek of the redesign this summer.) This update will go officially live in the next month, and it sets the stage to completely transform the way people read and discover issuu content for years to come.

What’s coming?

Think of the new issuu as the perfect combo of looks (engaging, clean design) and smarts (re-engineered for fast performance on all devices).

  • Thoughtfully crafted for easier reading and discovery

  • Get a fast and consistent experience on any device — it’s all built in HTML5

  • This great new experience will live on issuu.com and wherever issuu documents are embedded on another site or on social media.

When is it ready?

We will officially launch the new issuu in the next month. Make sure you’re signed up for “issuu News and Tips” emails in your notifications settings or follow @issuu on Twitter to be the first to know when we go live.

Until then, we’re running tests to make sure the new experience works as seamlessly as possible before showing it off to the whole world, so you might see it sooner rather than later.

How to get the new experience?

Whether you’re a publisher or a reader, no action is needed on your part. Your publications will be shown automatically on issuu.com or in existing embeds as we roll out the new experience.

A few things you might miss in the updated reading experience.

We decided we wanted to share the new issuu with you sooner rather than later, even if it means temporarily disabling old features like searching inside a publication and reader Clips. Learn more here.

What do you think?

We’re proud of the new issuu, and excited to share even more new functionality with you in the coming months. Tell us what you think. We might not answer each email individually but we’re reading every single one!

Again, make sure you’re signed up for “issuu News and Tips” emails in your issuu notifications settings or follow @issuu on Twitter to be the first to know when we go live.
