Each classical ballet variation is stemmed from a different country including Russia, French and Italy. The most popular classical variations are derived from Russia, Italy, Danish, Balanchine and New York. In classical ballet, the performers will wear a pointed shoes. The pointed shoes are specifically designed to allow a ballet to stand on the tip of her toes easily. The pointed shoes were changed to the hard boxes that are used today. The neoclassical incorporates a few styles from the traditional ballet. However, neoclassical ballet is less strict than the classical ballet. In neoclassical dance, the dancers will perform a more extreme tempo. The neoclassical ballet dance performance will have feats that are more technical. It is harder to perform the neoclassical because of its sophisticated technique. The Balanchine is a type of neoclassical dance. The Balanchine ballet dances are performed by modern dancers such as Paul Taylor and Martha Graham. The contemporary is a combination of the classical ballet and contemporary dance. Contemporary ballet features a wider range of movements. It does not put restriction in the body lines like other dance styles. The concepts of the contemporary dance are derived from the ideas and innovations in the 20th century. The person who is responsible for devising the contemporary dance is George Balanchine.
