Bliss Kids Arts Festival 11yr old Aria Curameng’s ‘Thailand’ design translated into a duvet set and two decorative pillows.

Blissliving® Home continuously partners with a variety of local and national organizations working effortlessly towards making a difference in the world. Our non-profit partners include Food for Others, the largest food bank in Northern Virginia, and Susan G. Komen for the Cure, a global leader in the movement against breast cancer. We host seasonal and year-round Give & Receive shopping events benefitting these organizations, inviting our customers to enjoy free shipping on purchases made during the event, while giving a portion of our proceeds to our partners. In a different initiative, we have joined forces with Children’s National Medical Center, one of the finest pediatric hospitals in the United States. Together, we have hosted the Bliss Kids Arts Festival, a nationwide bedding design competition open to kids twelve years of age and under. The winning design was made into a bedding ensemble and will be featured within the Blissliving® Home spring 2010 collection. Part of the proceeds from the sales of this collection will be donated to Children’s National Medical Center. Mei Xu, the Creator and CEO of Blissliving® Home, has taken on a leadership role within Vital Voices Global Partnership, an organization empowering emerging women leaders and social entrepreneurs around the globe. Blissliving® Home will carry select products made by Vital Voices women artisans in Africa within the spring 2010 collection. Mei has also offered to share her experience and business expertise with Vital Voices business leaders in developing nations to promote the role of women in these countries. Another initiative, currently in planning, is a candle for peace benefitting Women for Women, an organization providing women survivors of war, civil strife and other conflicts, with the tools and resources to move from crisis and poverty to stability and self-sufficiency, thereby promoting viable civil societies.

We could not have been more excited when Humanity for All, an emerging fashion house based in Los Angeles, invited us to join them for a special collaboration. Established in 2008, Humanity for All is a tapestry of art and written text that unfolds the stories of individuals, social justice, and the environment on fashion design. When Humanity for All cofounders Helena Cho and Tammy Hotsenpiller met Mei Xu, the Creator & CEO of Blissliving® Home, they quickly felt the synergy between our two brands. As a result, the Humanity by Blissliving® Home Collection was unveiled at the MAGIC market place in Las Vegas in September 2009. The Humanity by Blissliving® Home Collection includes a line of highly detailed decorative pillows, sumptuously soft throw blankets, and a complete line of home fragrance products.
