Rainbow colors and whimsical design elements transformed a luxe tent into a haven of joy.
At first glance it appears that Lillian has an affinity for butterflies, but in reality her wedding day was an artistic display of symbolism perfectly executed by Ryan Designs and True Events. Since Lillian and Matthew met in an airport, the couple chose to have thousands of butterflies fused into their décor as a nod to the flight and to represent the evolution of their romantic love story. These elements were further expressed using a colorful canopy of ribbons and butterflies that enticed guests to look up as they entered the sailcloth enclosure. “I just wanted people to walk into the tent and smile,” remembers Lillian. “I was thrilled with the way the tent looked and it felt–just like joy to me.” The floral décor was inspired by Lillian’s love for English gardens. Vibrant blooms spilled out of white metal birdcages, while other tables featured imaginative trees made of flowers and soaring branches. The floral arrangements, place-settings and lighting complemented the vibrancy of the butterfly landscape, resulting in a flawlessly cohesive design.

Floral gardens surrounding the bride’s childhood home inspired a watercolor wedding palette.

blisscelebrationsguide.com 2 0 1 9
It was high spring when Sarah and Peter made their way down the aisle. The gardens at Blithewold Mansion were in full bloom with the soft colors of the season, creating an especially nostalgic experience for the bride. Growing up in a Virginia farmhouse surrounded by fresh flowers, Sarah always knew she wanted a floral-themed wedding. However, it was her engagement on hydrangea-filled Nantucket that inspired the day’s touches of dusty blue. “The blush was actually an unexpected addition thanks to my wedding gown,” Sarah explained. “I tried on whites and even a very light blue, but as soon as I tried on the blush dress, I knew I had to have it in my color palette.” Surrounded by Narragansett Bay, under a floral arch draped with pink chiffon, the couple recited their vows. After they expressed their love for each other, the sweet, airy aroma of fresh blooms guided guests towards the tent for an unforgettable evening of dinner and dancing.

The Chanler at Cliff Walk in Newport, RI played host to a magnificent styled photo shoot designed by Alexis Eliopoulos O’Mara of Unique Weddings by Alexis. “Vibrant, chic, vintage, glamorous and even a little playful is what we envisioned for this photo shoot. We wanted to think outside the box, but not in an unattainable way,” Eliopoulos O’Mara explained. “Everything we created for the shoot could be used by a couple at their wedding.” Teaming up with Giti Gerami of Botanica Wedding Floral, the pair designed a mesmerizing tablescape that struck a balance between glamour and the unexpected. Cascading arrangements of prismatic blooms were juxtaposed with vintage, white farm chairs. A satin runner in bright aqua was a surprising pop of color that complemented the ocean backdrop beautifully. The ceremony site overlooking the coastal shores of Newport provided an amazing backdrop for the latest decor trend: a deconstructed arbor of brilliant blooms and flowering branches. Every unique detail flowed effortlessly into one cohesive design.

Captivating jewel tones evoked vintage glamour for this styled photo shoot designed by SD Events.

“Fall is one of the most popular seasons for weddings and we love to incorporate deep, rich tones to complement the landscape. Outdoor soirées happen in New England through mid-November so our goal was to show the warmth and depth of the season,” Tasha Bracken of SD Events described. To achieve the goal, jewel-toned elements were used throughout. A copper trellis draped with greenery and crimson flora served as the ceremony space. Freshly-cut blossoms dangled elegantly like gemstones suspended in mid-air. Billowy chiffon draping rounded out the design. The tablescape was the perfect blend of masculine and feminine details. Gathered velvet in rich teal lined the weathered trestle table. A mix of sapphire taper candles and smoky-blue crystal votive candles infused the table with warmth and intimacy. Lush flora in a spectrum of scarlet hues added a soft, fiery glow that popped against the cool blues to complete the look.

Sarah and Shaun exchanged vows in their favorite city at the historic Providence Public Library.

blisscelebrationsguide.com 2 0 1 9
The night Sarah and Shaun were engaged they snuck into the Providence Public Library to celebrate. Nearly two magical years later they said “I do” in the very same spot. “Although we toured other venues in RI, we kept going back to that beautiful, marble, historic venue and knew it was the perfect fit for us! It had the classic feel that we were going for and was centrally located in our favorite city,” Sarah recalled. As an event planner herself, Sarah had a clear vision of what she wanted for their big day and took the time to handpick each vendor to bring it to life. Keeping the color palette neutral, Sarah chose ivory and champagne mixed with nature’s neutral, fresh green. Donning a merlot tuxedo, Shaun was the pop of color that added depth and a touch of autumn to the look. Lush bouquets with bordeaux blooms tied it all together gracefully.

Verdant greens and an earthy color palette inspired by the couple’s recent trip to Europe created an urban garden oasis. 36
blisscelebrationsguide.com 2 0 1 9
While meandering through London, Kyler and Andrew stumbled upon an old weathered church overgrown with vines and illuminated by the sun’s ethereal glow. Back home, they found an industrial space with exposed bricks and weathered wood walls, reminiscent of the church in London. With the guidance of their event planner, Daisies & Pearls and photographer, Lindsay Hackney, they met with lighting experts, Griffin & Griffin, and floral artists from Apotheca to design their urban garden. “They had never worked together before, but admired each other’s work and immediately started talking about how they could hang this, or adorn greenery to that. It all came together perfectly,” the couple raved. Edison bulbs hung from copper wires infusing the raw space with warmth and radiance. Fresh greenery mingled with wrought-iron chandeliers and support beams creating the look of a garden in the sky. Every detail tied back to that old church, but the most touching detail of all was the ceremony trellis; that trellis will forever remain in their garden as a beautiful reminder of their favorite day.

Earthy greens, golden amber and touches of deep merlot complemented the natural landscape of Newport Vineyards. blisscelebrationsguide.com 2 0 1 9
Traveling down the dirt path of historic Newport Vineyards instantly evokes feelings of heartfelt warmth. While the Vineyard is vast with endless rows of grape vines, there is a sense of intimacy that cannot be ignored. For this styled shoot, Cassandra Earle, Sales Director at Newport Vineyards, showcased a casually elegant vibe by contrasting rustic elements with fancy flora and glassware. A long farm table lined with simple, white linen set the stage for a beautiful spread. Shiny gold vessels held earthy arrangements filled with peach and merlot blooms, as well as fresh grapes picked straight from the vineyard. Golden amber goblets and antique-inspired china infused the tablescape with vintage appeal. A cheese display with an array of flavorful savors from mild brie, to sharp cheddar and bottles of the Vineyard’s finest wine completed the table setting.

A classic color palette inspired by Kate’s childhood home décor created striking appeal for this wedding on Cape Cod.
Featured
With her mother being an interior designer, Kate has always had an appreciation for patterns and textures. The antique blue and white china that adorned the walls of her childhood home inspired the décor and color palette for her beautiful Cape Cod wedding. She called on the talents of Allison Wildes Liset of Elegant Engagements of Cape Cod to bring her visions to life. “There were so many details to the whole evening, and I couldn’t have done it without Allison and her team. They made what we envisioned happen, even when there were twists and turns along the way,” Kate raved. Each table had its own unique look, creating an organic, yet cohesive design. Solid white and blue linens mingled with patterned linens atop the tables. Beautiful topiaries stood tall on round tables, while the rectangle tables were adorned with garlands of greenery, flora and floating candles. Touches of greenery also decorated the chandeliers and support beams, transforming the tent into a magical garden.

This styled photo shoot is the beautiful result of a family’s multi-year effort to restore The Sablewood at Highview Springs. While the organic beauty of the barn was carefully preserved, 50-plus oversized windows were added to make this event space truly unique. “The shoot was inspired by the barn itself and the launch of this luxurious new venue,” explained Lisa Shaul of The Sablewood. “Our goal was to create a timeless look with dusty neutrals that enhanced the raw beauty of the old post-and-beam structure.” For the shoot, a palette of cool-toned pastels paired with billowy chiffon draping added to the airiness of the rustic sun-drenched barn. The in-house farm table was lined with a textured white linen and a garland of fresh greenery. Gilded candelabras added warmth to the table, complementing the massive 100-year-old chandelier that hung above. Metal chairs and crystal place settings completed the look with a modern twist.

The tranquil transition from autumn to winter was captured through foraged flora and foliage. Kim and Chris, the talented duo of Greenlion Design, set the tone at the Newport Beach House with their unique take on an heirloom barn table. Photographer Erin McGinn shared, “We wanted to showcase a way to entertain and bring this soulful landscape of organic colors indoors, to a holiday table or simply a celebratory gathering of friends.” Cream-white gauze linens draped across each table setting created a twist on a classic look, while gold flatware and tumblers added a dash of subtle shimmer. Weathered-looking sketches from Chris’ childhood lent authenticity to the artfully set foraged flora. In addition, a collection of robust floral arrangements entwined with peaks of foliage from golden yellow to burnt amber expressed the changing of the seasons. To complete the look, a vanilla-cream cake added the perfect finishing touch to the cozy table.

A graceful mix of deep and dusty hues enhanced the historic beauty of the New Bedford Whaling Museum. While Theresa had always dreamed of wearing a blush wedding dress, it was her sister’s floral embroidered matron-of-honor dress that sparked the color palette for her wedding day. Deep burgundy and dusty mauve hues adorned the nuptials from the bridal party’s attire, to the floral décor. The tables were reminiscent of an ancient feast. Pomegranates, grapes and pears were scattered amid interlocking vines to create the “beautiful mess” Theresa envisioned. “Though the reception was at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, I didn’t want to be too literal with a nautical theme – so the seafood menu we chose was the perfect way to tie it all together,” raved the bride. “Russell Morin Catering & Events were truly the architects of the whole day from their creative and delicious food choices, to their day-of coordinators that made my ideas a reality.”

Vivid hues and rich textures evoked a sultry, glamorous vibe in an airy light-filled loft. A new level of romance is achieved when designing with bold, saturated hues. “We chose to work with a triadic color scheme; emerald green being our dominant color, Pantone’s Color of the Year for 2018, ultra violet as our non-dominant color and silver as our accent color,” explained Erica Trombetti, owner and principal planner/ designer, of Infinite Events. Luxurious textures were juxtaposed with clean lines for a unique look. From hand-cut, emerald velvet napkins and lavender flora, to smoky grey Lucite® chairs and a deep brown cowhide rug, the pairings added dimension while striking the perfect balance between bright and dark. Natural light bounced off silvery champagne accents that infused the space with shimmer. To add an element of sweetness, a magnificent hand-painted cake captured the essence of the decorated loft like a piece of artwork.

Lakeview Pavilion was transformed into a magical oasis of greenery for this secretgarden inspired wedding. blisscelebrationsguide.com 2 0 1 9
To recreate her beloved childhood secret garden, bride TajaRay sought out the talents of Botanica Wedding Floral. “I have always been enchanted by secret gardens, fairies and romance,” shares TajaRay. “Fortunately, Nicholas thought my vision was charming and I loved incorporating his hobbies and personality into the design as well.” Living ivy cascading down pure white walls transformed Lakeview Pavilion into a fanciful garden. Fresh moss, scattered acorns and fallen blooms on each table laid the foundation for soaring arrangements. Textured greenery dripped from silver perches to emulate trees in an enchanted forest. During cocktail hour, family and friends were invited to “Nick’s Biergarten:” a custom beer garden designed with the groom’s love of German beer in mind. There guests sampled a selection of German brews curated by Nick before feasting on traditional Greek and Italian cuisine.

A styled shoot featured deep tones inspired by crisp autumn mornings in the woodlands of New England.
For this styled shoot, Emily Herzig of Emily Herzig Floral Studio was inspired by the cozy characteristics of autumn in New England. “We wanted to capture that weekend-away feeling: soft flannels and a pot of coffee in the morning, lush flora and comfort foods later on in the day,” Herzig described. “The setting made this shoot come together almost effortlessly.” Bronze amaranthus, cherry-brandy rudbeckia and heuchera foliage defined the rich color palette while illustrating the beautiful transition from late fall to early winter. Foraged grapevines and champagnehued dahlias added depth to the saturated colors, complementing the lakeside setting. A weathered farm table and chairs draped with creamy white linen authenticated the campy, farmhouse-look Herzig envisioned. Galvanized-tin sap buckets held artisan cheeses and crispy toast points, while mini floral arrangements adorned vintage amber bottles. Moody blooms cascaded down a towering, textured cake, completing the look perfectly.

For their intimate wedding, Megan and Andrew wanted to enhance the architectural beauty of the ballroom at Rosecliff in Newport, RI. “We envisioned a fall garden and hoped that the contrast of an organic floral display with a deep color palette would allow each detail of the ballroom to stand out,” Megan explained. She gave the teams at Exquisite Events and Stoneblossom creative license to do what they do best, and the result was nothing short of stunning. “Their advice and wisdom were critical in taking our design ideas to the next level,” raved Megan. Tall arrangements of greenery peppered with dusty pink roses and merlot foliage decorated each guest table. The head table featured a blend of tall candelabras, low floral arrangements, and weathered sculptures for a unique twist. Tufted cane chairs and gilded place settings paid homage to the historical setting to complete the design.

Deep berry blooms highlighted the dusty rose and blush accents for this autumn wedding at the Glen Manor House.
photographed by Meagan Emilia
With a vision to embrace the autumn season, Emily and Nikolay chose a warm, dusty-rose palette with touches of deep berry and glistening gold. The mantle in the main dining room dripped with autumn-kissed greenery and creamy white pillar candles illuminated the room in a cozy glow that made guests feel right at home. “We didn’t really have a vision for the floral design, so we simply shared thoughts on our wedding style with Rachael Sirois of Farrissey Floral Design. Her eye for floral design took our wedding décor to the next level,” Emily raved. The color palette was carried out through every detail of the day–from the striking bridesmaid gowns to the bouquets, rich with berry and blush dahlias, to even the sunset! Mother Nature dazzled guests with a spectacular display of color in the sky just in time for cocktail hour.

The Bohlin, nestled in the heart of downtown Newport, RI, proved to be the ideal spot for ocean-lovers, Meghan and Brian, to be married. Instead of adopting a traditional nautical theme, the bride chose the inside of an oyster shell to inspire her color palette. “I fell in love with the simplicity of the shell,” Meghan remembered. “Plus the dusty blue-and-gray color scheme was nicely complemented by orangey peach accents; a nod to our alma mater, Syracuse University.” Deep ocean-blue table covers made of rich velvet were lined with a mix of high and low floral arrangements to add texture in the vaulted tent. Outside on the dock, cozy sofas provided a serene getaway from the lively reception. To brand their special day, the bride and groom placed a custom crest on decorative accents and favors, including pillows, menu cards and glassware filled with sea salt.

PRINCESS PINK & SHIMMERING GOLD photographed by Sara Zarrella
Shades of pink with gold accents infused the ballroom at Kirkbrae Country Club with pure joy for the arrival of baby girl Fontes. Tiffany has always been a girly girl and dreamed of becoming a mother to her own little princess someday. “When I found out I was having a girl, I was over the moon and couldn’t wait to plan my own baby shower,” gushed Tiffany. “I have always loved the color pink and everything princess, and knew the ballroom at Kirkbrae Country Club was the perfect setting.” A spectrum of pink blooms ranging from deep fuchsia to light blush, from Cherryhill Flowers, transformed the ballroom into what felt like a princess’ castle. Gold Chiavari chairs and cake stands added a dash of shimmer to the palette, while custom-made tiara napkin rings and tutu chair covers made every guest feel like royalty. The magical day concluded with artistically designed treats of cake pops, frosted cookies, and a magnificent three-tier cake decorated with edible bows and rosettes.

To create dimension, each long table was adorned with a series of short, flowery arrangements in mercury glass vessels. A blend of floating candles and votives emitted a warm glow, illuminating the room in pure romance to complete the look.

Sometimes the simplest details make the biggest statement of all…and those elements were exactly what defined Breanna and Jarrad’s wedding. With a love for neutrals, they set out to find a modern venue that would help their vision come to life. “The Atrium at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Warwick, RI hit all of our style points— it was modern, classy, and romantic. The chandeliers, whitewashed brick walls, and glass ceiling were breathtaking. Once we met with

the event planners, we knew it was the perfect fit for us,” Breanna raved. As an artist, it was important for Breanna to create as many details as she could herself. She designed the stationery, made table numbers, and wrote the calligraphy on the marble coasters that were used as both escort cards and favors. The most personal design element was the wooden ceremony arch that was handmade by Breanna’s step dad.

“Our inspiration always comes from the client – in this particular case we wanted to speak to the growing trend of moody, modern, rich, and sophisticated,” Camille Dolloff from Artistic Blossoms explained. Each unique design element was inspired by these moody details to create a cohesive, impactful look. Luxe velvet linen in deep teal sparked the color palette, which included dark green, and burnt orange for added dimension. The floral design, featured more foliage than blossoms, and was inspired by the

modernity of marble chargers and the clean, geometric pattern on the menu cards. Two metal structures held the long, textural arrangement filled with magnolia leaves, fern shoots, and olive foliage. Blue thistle, white euphorbia, and privet, with its natural dark blue berries were sprinkled into the arrangement to tie in the linens and place settings. Cement-grey square plates and polished copper flatware completed the table setting with a modern take on industrial style. Like the décor, the bridal fashion focused on the allure of spring blooms too. One bride donned a floral belt, while the other wore a floral pin in her hair. Their team of culinary experts crafted quintessential New England fare with a seasonable twist. “They did a fabulous job with the food. Focusing on New England cuisine really tied the whole theme together,” Demi raved.

TA MMY AND TOM CELEBR ATED THEIR LOVE FOR ONE ANOTHER IN THE SU N - DRENCHED ATRIUM ROOM AT THE PE ABODY ESSE X MUSEUM .
After meeting at church where they both taught Sunday school, it was important to Tom and Tammy that they be married in that very same church. When it came time to celebrate after the ceremony their love for art drew them to the Peabody Essex Museum. “We loved that the airy space and glass ceiling gave a sense of the outdoors without subjecting us to the weather,” Tammy raved. Tom finds beauty in nature and simplicity, while Tammy is inspired by feminine, vintage style.

Rather than meeting in the middle with their design aesthetics, they decided to fully embrace both resulting in an absolutely stunning, well-balanced look. Hailing the talented Paula Marrero, of Marrero Events, they worked together to find the perfect team of vendors to blend their ideas into one cohesive design. Capers Catering crafted a mouth-watering menu, but it was the late-night snacks that fueled the action on the dance floor all night long.

Nestled in a mountainous region of Vermont is the idyllic Essex Resort and Spa. Known for its culinary excellence and sweeping views, it was the perfect setting for our Bliss Publications networking event. Spring was in full bloom and floral designer, Jayson Munn, was inspired by locally grown purple lilac, white clematis and budding birch branches. “I loosely arranged the foraged flora in granite-like vessels as a nod to Vermont’s famed marble and granite quarries,” he described. The

bountiful floral arrangements covered every surface inside the atrium, including the multi-tiered marble cake crafted by Vermont Cake Studio. A custom balloon installation hovered above the event lounge adding a dash of whimsy to the spring garden vibe. Plush sofas and chairs provided guests with a cozy, relaxing spot to enjoy their cocktails and mingle with each other. The night concluded with the iconic Vermont Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream cart.

On her wedding day, Katie paid homage to her love for everything winter by the sea in a number of unique and glamorous ways. Her bridesmaids wore a blend of frosty grey-and-blue gowns in a variety of silhouettes that best suited each of their personalities. Delicate sequin touches, beaded embellishments and fur stoles finished off the looks with the dose of glam that Katie envisioned. Last, but not least, snow-covered trees and docks glistened in the sun to transform The Nonantum Resort into a magical seaside winter

wonderland. “We chose the Nonantum Resort not only because of the stunning water views from the ballroom, but also because we loved the idea of everyone being able to stay onsite,” Katie remembered. “With the vintage feel of the inn and quintessential rooms, we knew our guests would have a special experience.” To lend further uniqueness to their big day, the bride and groom added personal touches from petite sweets made by family, to a custom-designed miniature tux for their adorable pup.

THE WATERMAN GRILLE WAS DECORATED WITH RUSTIC ELEMENTS AND POPS OF WINE HUES FOR THE MARRIAGE OF T WO OENOPHILES.
Nichole and Eddie enjoy visiting vineyards and trying new wines, and wanted to pay homage to their past time on their wedding day. The intimate event space at the Waterman Grille was the perfect fit for their vision. “The rustic elements were consistent with the theme of our wedding, plus the food and service are always outstanding. Also, we loved that it was on the water and had an outdoor patio,” Nichole described. Peppered throughout the décor, flowers, and fashion were subtle hints of the vineyard theme. Nichole and

Eddie’s daughters were part of the ceremony; donning rosé pink chiffon gowns and blush bouquets. At each table, weathered wooden boxes reminiscent of wine barrels held arrangements of dusty green succulents, cream roses, and merlot dahlias. Delicate grapevines served as napkin rings to complete the look. “Our goal was to bring both of our families together to celebrate our love in a beautiful setting without a lot of fuss - we achieved that at the Waterman Grille,” Nichole reminisced.

Ashley and her family attended a wedding at Quidnessett Country Club and during cocktail hour, Ashley’s mother snapped a picture of her twirling around. Two years later, on an online dating site, that very same photo caught Daniel’s eye and the rest is history. They visited Quidnessett Country Club together and it all made perfect sense–this was where they needed to be married. “We fell in love with the gorgeous water views and how cozy it felt. The food was also amazing!” Ashley raved. Drawing

inspiration from the beautiful landscape, they chose an airy pastel palette with blush, dusty greens, and soft coral. Wooden boxes housed arrangements of lavender-tinged succulents, warm coral blooms, and fresh eucalyptus leaves on every table. Votive candles in mercury glass vessels finished off the table décor with a warm, romantic glow. Aside from their vows, the most memorable moment was the surprise performance of the ballad “Lullaby” by Billy Joel, as sung by Ashley’s father.

The Providence G is the epitome of industrial glam with its soaring blackframed windows, sparkling chandeliers, and urban locale. The ballroom is a vast all-white space; a blank canvas that Hayley and Jared made their own on their wedding day. “I used geometric accents in combination with soft, organic flowers to capture the essence of the venue’s existing décor,” Hayley described. Dramatic draping from airy white to bold gray chiffon carved out an intimate area within the ballroom for the

ceremony. Guests headed to the rooftop lounge to sip artfully-crafted cocktails while watching the sun set over the Providence skyline. When they re-entered the ballroom for the reception they were blown-away by the transformation of the space from the ceremony – it was as if they were in a completely different room. The draping was pulled back to reveal rows of tables with soft floral arrangements, and an open space under the glowing chandeliers that beckoned dancers.

On the edge of a cobblestone walkway where the harbor meets the Boston skyline stands The Exchange Conference Center. “We had looked at a number of venues in Boston and couldn’t find one that felt right, until we discovered ECC. It’s truly a hidden gem! Their location in the seaport district has beautiful views and East Meets West is the in-house caterer, which was amazing,” Sarah exclaimed. Though Boston weather can be unpredictable, the stars aligned and

they were able to host cocktail hour on the patio overlooking the harbor. After catching a spectacular sunset, guests made their way inside to feast on the creative dishes crafted by East Meets West. In true New England fashion, iridescent oyster shells were used in place of escort cards – a fun detail that doubled as a keepsake. Forgoing the traditional autumn colors, Sarah chose a clean, all-white palette that enhanced the beauty of the event space flawlessly.

THE LAVISH LANDSCAPE INHERENT TO RHODE ISLAND COMPLEMENTED SIMPLICITY-IN-DESIGN FOR THIS ELEGANT MID-SUMMER WEDDING
New York natives, Corinne and Taylor, spent years celebrating the Fourth of July in Rhode Island with family and friends. So naturally, when it came time to plan their wedding, there was no competition; the big day had to be in Newport in July. The couple bestowed their trust in the talented designers at both Planned to Perfection and Stoneblossom to create their quintessential New England soirée. “We were aiming for a natural palette of whites with navy accents,” explained Corinne. “Stoneblossom brought our vision to life flawlessly

with hydrangeas, roses and blue thistle with a touch of greenery. It was incredible.” In true New England fashion, the bridal party donned deep ocean-blue chiffon gowns. Corinne carried a stunning all-white bouquet that contrasted perfectly against the color of her bridesmaids’ dresses. Before joining guests at the reception, Corinne and Taylor strolled down to the dock to catch a glimpse of the stunning sunset; a sentimental moment captured beautifully by photographer, Erin McGinn.

Lyndsay and Patrick’s wedding was not only a celebration of love, but also a night of exploration of life under the sea. A wedding at New England Aquarium is an all-encompassing experience and that was exactly what Lyndsay and Patrick wanted for their guests. The 200,000 gallon ocean tank that spans three floors served as an interactive centerpiece for cocktail hour. Guests sipped on creative libations among vibrant fish and playful penguins before heading

outside to the reception tent overlooking Boston Harbor. The team at DesignLight set the tone of the night with soft lighting that filled the tent with warmth. As a nod to the aquatic nature of the event, each table was decorated with crystal vessels filled with water and floating white flowers. A surprise performance of Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” by Patrick kicked off the reception with dancing and set the mood for the perfect evening that followed.

Annie is originally from Kansas, Matt from Georgia, but Boston is where the couple met and fell in love. Matt proposed while Annie was a graduate student at Harvard University, making the Harvard Club the perfect place to celebrate their love. The ceremony was held at the beautiful Old South Church where they are both members. For a unique touch, petals rained down from the steeple to the faint sounds of an organ right after they recited their vows. “It was a surprise that

created a special moment that we will adore forever,” reminisced Annie. The celebration continued at the Harvard Club where the architectural elegance of the space was enhanced by warm lighting, all-white floral arrangements and fresh greenery. As dinner concluded, the lighting brightened to signal to guests that it was time to hit the dance floor. “We had an incredible band that kept everyone dancing,” Annie shared. “Even my 87-year-old grandma was on the dance floor most of the night!”

For two ocean lovers, Alexandra and Tyler, Regatta Place of Newport, RI was the picture-perfect location to say “I do.” The same way they fell for each other, the couple fell in love with the venue’s sweeping ocean views. Alexandra had visions of a neutral color palette, but wanted to incorporate touches of deep colors as a nod to her early autumn wedding date. She achieved this by selecting rich-merlot colored bridesmaids’ gowns and a flourishing bouquet with the same deep hues, while

the reception decor stayed true to the neutral palette. Natural light bounced off shimmering gold chairs in the bright event space, adding a bit of glamour to the overall harborside vibe. The tables were adorned with lush floral arrangements that emulated Alexandra’s bouquet flawlessly. Guests discovered table numbers by finding their name in a garden of succulents that were individually planted in terracotta pots— an imaginative keepsake that also doubled as their favors.

THE HIS TORIC AL NEW ENGL AND CHARM OF THE SAYBROOK POINT INN SE T THE TONE FOR THIS SPRING WEDDING OVERLOOKING THE HARBOR .
With a strong interest in history and architecture, Danielle felt drawn to the Saybrook Point Inn. “It has that authentic New England feel; rich with history and vintage charm. I did not want my wedding décor to compete with the Saybrook Point Inn’s natural beauty,” Danielle described. The spring season and all that it represents inspired Danielle to choose an airy color palette rich with neutral tones with a touch of pink. The décor struck a

lovely balance of modern with a vintage flair. Weathered gold mercury glass vessels on top of white linen tablecloths, housed modern, all-white floral arrangements on each table. Soft pink made its subtle debut in Danielle’s beautiful bouquet, adding warmth and femininity to the look. Like the décor, Danielle’s dress blended both modern and vintage design elements from the dramatic v-neckline to the tiny buttons that fastened her in.

Mansion, Gardens & Arboretum became a playground for Sayles Livingston Design to showcase her fl oral craft. The vision was a modern garden fi lled with bright, almost neon blooms mellowed out with the clean lines of clear acrylic chairs and a wooden farm table for a touch of warmth. 1 A clean invitation suite alluded to the modern garden theme. 2 The fashion-forward styling of Beth Chapman Styling played off the grandeur of the mansion and the explosion of color. 3 A canopy of leafy branches with pops of neon blossoms sheltered the table below. 4 The escort cards were weaved into a web of peonies, snapdragons, anemones, and ranunculus for a fresh twist. 5 Sparkling rosĂŠ in crystal coups were the perfect signature cocktail for the modern garden affair. 6 Clear acrylic chairs juxtaposed with a wooden farm table created the perfect balance of modern and classic style. 7 Blackstone Caterers crafted a garden party menu filled with light, refreshing fare. 8 The four-tier cake emulated the fl oral wall and the overall inspiration of the styled shoot flawlessly.

Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington, CT painted the perfect picture for this celebration of true love.
LAUREN AND TOBIE were on their way to visit a few wedding venues when fate intervened. “My mother encouraged us
to stop by Saltwater Farm Vineyard first to see the space and enjoy a glass of wine. As soon as Tobie and I walked into the tasting room, we knew this was the place. It was so perfectly us – classic, but modern and so unique,” Lauren described. 1 Lush summer blooms dominated this beautiful bouquet. 2 Lauren and Tobie shared their loving vows against a landscape of verdant grape vines. 3 The perfect wedding was sealed with a kiss. 4 A custom illustration ensured their favorite furry friend was with them throughout the day. 5 Fresh blush blossoms added a feminine flair to the moody marble wedding cake. 6 Weathered garden pots were the perfect vessels for textural floral arrangements. opposite: A fresh mix of floral and sky blue chiffon bridesmaids’ gowns were a subtle, stylish nod to the natural beauty that surrounded them.

and Paul’s wedding was inspired by their love for nature. “Paula Marrero of Marrero Events and the team from Exquisite Events Décor worked tirelessly to create my vision of being surrounded by flowers in a soft and romantic environment. Everyone worked seamlessly together to design a tent that was filled with f lowing fabrics, warm candlelight, and a stunning f loral chandelier,” Kristina raved. 1 A variety of gilded vessels housed mini arrangements of blush roses and creamy white ranunculus that ran the length of every guest table. 2. Sunlight flooded the tent making the flowers and greenery glow. 3. All-white bouquets made a modern statement against classic navy blue bridesmaid gowns. 4. Sprawling ivy across the brick manor on the grounds where Kristina and Paul were married inspired the floral chandelier. 5. a former intern for Stasia Anthony at Exquisite Events Planning, Sierra not only learned much about planning a wedding, but she also fell in love with the beauty of Mount Hope Farm in Bristol, RI. “I loved how you could make it your own,” explained Sierra. “Cove cabin felt intimate for our cocktail hour and there were many other unexpected elements and surroundings on the farm that made our wedding unique to us.” 1 A simple cake was a sweet treat for all to enjoy. 2 Mink-gray chiffon draping and twinkling lights infused the tent with elegance. 3 Sierra and Scott were married under a dramatic canopy of warm flora adorned with sprigs of greenery and lavender. 4 Misty blue bridesmaids’ gowns complemented the waterfront backdrop perfectly. 5 Gold flatware and etched crystal glasses softened the surrounding rustic décor, giving guests an elevated dining experience. 6 Old-world-inspired farm tables and chairs were a nod to Sierra’s love for French country décor, while gold geometric chandeliers were an unexpected twist. 7 Guests were greeted by a bounty of buttery dahlias and garden roses. 8 Warm peach and coral blooms looked perfect against the misty blue gowns.

venue search started and stopped at Hotel Viking Newport. The couple’s choice was only further validated when their affection warmed the air on their chilly January wedding day. “We loved being in such a beautiful city full of history, right on the water,” Ashley reminisced. “When we found out Hotel Viking had their very own chapel, we knew it was the perfect spot.” 1 The brick facade of the historic Hotel Viking lent classical style to the bridal-party photos. 2 In true Newport fashion, a compass invitation suite guided guests through the festivities of the weekend. 3 The ethereal glow radiating from twinkling lights created a magical setting for photos. 4 Greenlion Design captured the essence of winter with white floral arrangements peppered with fresh evergreen branches. 5 A textural cake crafted by Konditor Meister was the sweet treat guests craved by the end of the night. 6 The Kay Chapel at Hotel Viking is a modern twist on neoclassical gothic architecture. opposite: The ballroom's modern chandeliers and wall of arched mirrors created romantic ambiance for the couple's first dance. 147

Amanda did not have a vision for her wedding day style. It wasn’t until she laid eyes on a beautiful, f loralembroidered bridesmaid dress that a plan started to take shape. “I was pretty laid back in telling Giti Gerami of Botanica Wedding Floral my vision for the wedding,” remembered Amanda. “Our guests were blown away by her beautiful floral displays. Her work speaks for itself, and the way she helped guide me through the wedding planning process was invaluable.” 1 Fresh blooms enlivened a darling, all-white wedding cake. 2 The tent was infused with romance using blush floral spheres atop crystal pillars. 3 Amanda’s sisters donned the famed fl oral-embroidered gown, complementing the rest of the bridal party flawlessly. 4 Guests were greeted into the reception by the sweet scent of summer blooms. 5 The newlyweds reflected on the quality time they spent in the very same spot before becoming husband and wife. 6 Serving as the couple’s gateway to eternal happiness, the iconic arch overlooking the ocean was adorned with Amanda’s favorite flowers. opposite: Geometric chandeliers added a modern, yet whimsical feel to the breathtaking fl oral display below.

were inspired by the lush look of an overgrown greenhouse for their wedding day design. As environmentally conscious individuals, they chose a florist that only uses locally sourced flowers, as well as Blackstone Caterers for its farmto-table offerings. “The décor was dictated by what was blooming/growing in Rhode Island in September and our vendors brought our overgrown-greenhouse vision to life exceptionally,” raved Kiana. 1 The couple shared a sweet embrace after their first look. 2 Fresh blackberries and lemons lined each layer of the delicious buttercream cake. 3 Mini jars of local honey doubled as both edible escort cards and wedding favors. 4 Wild greens and mixed lanterns dangled from a wooden trellis, capturing the verdant greenhouse vibe. 5 Buttery blooms added dimension to Maeve’s bouquet. 6 Chiffon draping by Exquisite Events Décor made entering the tent feel like a grand event. opposite: “We’ve had countless memories as a couple here,” Kiana and Maeve reminisced. “Getting married at home, on the water, surrounded by family, friends and our dogs was ideal.”

StephanieLeFrancois of Forks & Fingers directed a team of visionaries to unleash their creativity and the results were nothing
short of awe-inspiring. “As wedding vendors, we are typically creating someone else’s vision,” Stephanie explained, but this time around it was different. “Each vendor was given creative license to bring their own style to our shoot with the inspiration being that a beach wedding doesn’t have to incorporate a beach theme.” 1 Watery grey and blue fondant on this two-tiered cake mimicked the ocean on the shore. 2 Artisan cheeses and cured meats with all the accoutrements created the perfect coastal charcuterie spread. 3 A gilded champagne bar reflected the beauty of the bright carousel house. 4 Antique-like, lace-trimmed chargers were juxtaposed with a modern mirrored table for a unique twist. 5 Floral-embellished chandeliers from Ryan Designs shed light on the vintage, coast-inspired glamour below. 6 A textural floral bouquet ranged in color intensity from dark crimson to airy blue. opposite: Love was in the ocean air during an opulent picnic in a gorgeous cabana on the beach.

and Greg’s roots are in Chicago, but Chatham, MA will forever have their hearts. For their destination wedding, the couple entrusted the talented team at Elegant Engagements of Cape Cod to design the big day of their dreams. “I’m not sure what we would have done without Allison Wildes Liset. Nearly all of our 240 guests were out-of-towners, spread across various accommodations and her team ensured each guest was graciously welcomed and transported to our wedding,” Kristine recalled. 1 Mirrored tables reflected the beauty above. 2 Delicate greens added depth to Kristine’s pure white bouquet. 3 Extravagant fl oral arrangements in crisp white urns welcomed guests as they made their way to the reception. 4 The vast ocean accented by sea grass gently blowing in the breeze was the quintessential Cape Cod backdrop. 5 Oyster shells added a coastal touch to the textured white cake. 6 Pure joy radiated from the newlyweds as they were welcomed at the reception. 7 Glass lanterns suspended from garlands of greenery created a twinkling canopy. 8 Arrangements of crisp, white florals added depth and texture to the tables. 9 As the sun went down, the glowing tent invited guests to dance the night away.

Becca and Ben decided on a rich color palette that truly emulated fall for their wedding day, they knew the picturesque landscape of the Berkshires would be the perfect backdrop. With the guidance of Kasie Blanchette and Edna Dratch-Parker of EFD Creative-Event Planning & Design, they found their dream f loral designer, Flowers by Semia, to bring their vision to life. 1 A spectrum of deep-red gowns rivaled the fall foliage, creating a perfect canvas for each bountiful bouquet. 2 Freshly-picked flowers added a touch of color to the sweet, buttercream cake. 3 As a professional lighting designer by trade, groom Ben conceptualized the illumination that transformed the reception barn into an ethereal oasis. 4 Ben and Becca’s chic attire romanticized the rustic nature of the landscape. 5 Becca’s larger-than-life bouquet captivated the eye like Ben captivated her heart. opposite: Earthy textures mingled with rustic

INSPIREDby 1920’s Old Hollywood glamour, Nicole and Rashad threw a fabulous Gatsbyesque celebration to commemorate
their love. Not only did the art-deco décor of the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum fit their theme perfectly, it was also where Rashad had always hoped to marry Nicole. 1 Beautiful lighting illuminated the art-deco walls of Smith Hall with glowing orbs of leafy vines. 2 The gold and black invitation with its geometric motif is the essence of Gatsby-era style. 3 The ceremony was held in the full-glass atrium offering breathtaking panoramic views of the sun setting over Boston Harbor. 4 A magnificent 6-tier cake was reminiscent of an Old Hollywood theater. 5 In true 1920’s fashion, the bridal party wore their hair pinned tightly to their heads and donned different shimmering metallic sequin gowns. 6 New Leaf Flores designed stunning creative floral arrangements with touches of feathers which added a dose of glam to each table. 7 Giant letters spelled L.O.V.E. for a fun, photo op. opposite: Soaring arrangements of silver-painted tropical leaves and white roses infused the ceremony site with glamour and grace.

by her beautiful yellow gold engagement ring, Kristin decided on a clean palette of gold, white, and green for her wedding. “I wanted to keep everything classic while playing off the beautiful natural environment we were in. and Dereck had their hearts set on a formal, winter wedding filled with pure white flora, and The Lenox was the perfect fit for their vision. “From the moment we walked into The Lenox, I knew it was our venue. The Dome room is beautiful, and working with Alison and her team at The Lenox was a dream. They made everything easy, seamless, and they also threw in some special surprises!” Danielle exclaimed. 1 Love radiated in the iconic Dome room as Danielle and Dereck recited their vows. 2 Organic arrangements of fresh white flora and dusty sage leaves were a subtle nod to the snowy season. 3 Danielle’s all-white bridal style was the epitome of grace and elegance. 4 Shimmering pashminas and a white fur stole kept this beautiful bridal party chic and cozy. 5 Purple sugar flowers cascading down the scrumptious three-tier cake was an unexpected twist in the color palette. opposite: The view from the top of The Lenox is always breathtaking,

ocean views, the bright city skyline, and impeccable service all made Boston Harbor Hotel everything Courtney and Brian envisioned for their wedding day. “Our wedding planner, Jodi Raphael of Jodi Raphael Events, suggested we visit the Boston Harbor Hotel. When we walked into the Wharf Room, I immediately teared up. The view was breathtaking and I knew this was where we would be married,” remembered Courtney. 1 Courtney’s white lace gown looked beautiful amongst a sea of powder-blue crepe bridesmaid dresses. 2 Lush pink blooms added an unexpected burst of color to the blue-and-white color scheme. 3 Like a scene from a movie, the newlyweds shared a magical dance at twilight. 4 Clear chargers were paired with gold flatware for an elegant, modern look. 5 Dusty pink florals filled tall, milky-white vases to complement the up-lighting beautifully. opposite: Under an abundant floral arch overlooking the picturesque harbor, Brian and Courtney were pronounced husband and wife.

AN INDIAN WEDDING is traditionally saturated with deep reds, but Nina and Reid had a different vision
for their day. Instead, they chose a warm, sunset-inspired palette filled with punchy pinks, dusty coral and a touch of gold. “Semia Dunne of Flowers by Semia went above and beyond our expectations,” raved Reid. “Her take on Nina’s vision was spot-on.” 1 A picturesque spot for secret smooches. 2 The chefs at Russell Morin Catering & Events teamed up with Ananda, a local Indian restaurant, to curate a mouthwatering Indian-American fusion menu. 3 The rain let up just in time to capture the couple in front of the iconic entrance of Glen Manor House. 4 A wall of floating carnations lent a fresh twist to a traditional ceremony backdrop. 5 Beds of greenery bursting with vivid blooms lined each table as if they were growing their naturally. opposite: The gradient colors of the sun setting in a dusk sky were captured in Nina’s bouquet.
