FOREWORD |Ashleigh Coyner A new year is always a reason to begin again, to find the light at the end of the tunnel, to rejoice in the end of Winter and the beginning of Spring.

I started The fPOE Collective as a way to gather and showcase the lovely, talented ladies of the female photographers of Etsy team; not just once but four times a year. For the inaugural volume, I asked the team to interpret the theme, “New Beginnings”. I loved all the submissions and their interpretations. The interpretations range from baby birds hatching to a kitten taking its first steps, to the hope that light brings to the chance for fish as a river is set free. A new beginning may mean many things and is not limited to just what is in this volume. I invite you to sit back, relax, and ‘see’ through the eyes of these wonderful photographers.

“The most sacred place dwells within our heart, where dreams are

born and secrets sleep, a mystical refuge of darkness and light, fear and conquest, adventure and discovery, challenge and transformation. Our heart speaks for our soul every moment while we are alive. Listen... as the whispering beat repeats: be...gin, be...gin, be...gin. It's really that simple. Just begin... again.”
